"I have been eating in La Casita since the first opening, in a former car garage near the I-25 transfer and Nevada Ave. This location is long gone, but the tradition of really good, really fast, sit down Mexican food continues. Like the roll-up garage doors at current locations. The food is consistently good, with flour tortillas handmade on site, chicken and steak for Fajitas grilled right in front of you, and a fantastic spice bar. Condiments include homemade salsas in four warmth/taste options, from a mild red picante to a hot green polycho sauce. You will also find fresh chopped onions and lemon wedges. My favorite dish is the Super Mexican dish. It is a great value, a good sample and a lot of food! Ask for Borracho beans instead of roasting (they are delicious, loaded with bacon and spices). Most meals are served with these warm flour tortillas, beans and Mexican rice. Come hungry! Get a tasty horchata to drink, and an authentic churro for the desert you need to eat later! Do not forget to drive your own table when you get out. The pandemic has turned off the open toilet bar. But all the extras that complete the La Casita experience are still prepackaged available, you just have to ask."
