"Extremely delicious gyro before I went there I was not sure if I was in the mood to eat meat, but after I took my takeout to Lake Lagoon, I knew it was the right choice. I usually get the gyro sandwich, but the plate is so much better as you choose the amount of meat and toppings you put in your packaging. By far the best gyro I had here in Slo. I highly recommend getting the plate and going somewhere nice to enjoy it. There are many great places to sit and eat outside. It really made me a difference."

"The chicken was good, rice was uncooked this time, the sauce is amazing. Please do yourself a favor and don't order the tabouli I paid $13.99 for a small tabouli it was bitter no dressing they have chopped the parsley using a food processor large onions in there filled with cracked wheat."

"Overall a decent spot to grab some Mediterranean food. They have some good specials so you can get meals for a good price as well. Inside is pretty boring, this used to be a Barro's pizza and it looks mostly the same. They do have a good amount of seating though, over 10 tables. I would give their gyro sandwich a 7 out of 10, it's decent but not the best around Chicken gyro 6/10Their Greek fries are good, probably 8/10Only other side I've had is the rice 7/10Food can take a while, so order ahead and wait 15 minutes before heading in to pickup. I did have a doordash order from there delivered a few months back missing a meal all together and I had to drive down to the restaurant and get it. Better to just go in yourself so you can check the bag."

"I come to this place especially for the last months after my first experience has blown my taste buds out of the water. eating is always in its amount and quality as well as the staff very courteous and friendly. mahmoud has made my plate countless paints and is very attentive to any independent order. nikki, who is in the rule the cash when I go, has a great smile and attitude when it comes to taking care of the payment and it desires “have a good rest of her day and enjoy the food” will always feel rejoiced to her planned return. this is my favorite spot since I started coming here and will also come on days again I don't want to cook to enjoy the great quality of the food and see the friendly staff that always greets me with a smile! one of my most popular eating places to go and I can't wait to be back!"

"I really needed something to eat late at night and also didn't feel like cooking. I decided to try out the Halal Guys after watching my colleague practically vacuuming up the food from earlier on. I appreciated how quickly the order was ready. Their food didn't disappoint! I am used to eating spicy food so I felt they were under-seasoned and bland. I preferred the chicken instead of gyro meat because I thought it tasted less gamey. I also loved their shawarmas. I wouldn't mind ordering again with just chicken. I would add extra cucumbers and tomatoes on my own. Perhaps some extra mint leaves. Their white sauce was delicious as well. Looking forward to ordering from them again. Rounding up a 3.5 to a 4 because of the otherwise solid service despite it nearly closing time and honoring my request of not adding lettuce."

"Halal guys The Best Gyros in TownIt's been said that halal guys has the best gyros in town, and I couldn't agree more. I recently ordered a beef and chicken gyro, and was able to customize it to my preferences. The sandwiches had plenty of meat and vegetables, and the seasoning was great. Of course, you can't forget the white sauce!I used to go to the halal guys in Orlando, but I only recently found out that they have a franchise here, and I'm so happy. The quality and flavor are still the same! The prices are awesome and the service is reasonable. I also tried their hibiscus and mint lemonade. I thought the mint could have been stronger, but it still tasted good. I also ordered a side of fries. They were definitely fresh and tasty."

"We are in town for vacation and I noticed The Halal Guys were close so we ordered in some. I'm from NYC so I've had the Original Halal Guys food from the cart so I had really high expectations. I was disappointed. The rice in my wife's falafel platter was dry and sort of an anemic portion size. My platter was a little better but overall not to the same quality as the one from the cart. I understand it's a chain now but there should be some standardization of quality when you put your name on something. We're not from the area but I assume there are better halal spots around here."
