"Tried this place out on a Saturday around noon. Ordered the family chicken and ribs meal with chicken pasta, Mac n cheese, garden salad, and 2 extra sides of black beans and mashed potatoes w/gravy. The chicken pasta was creamy, but bland- would not get again. The mac n cheese was ok- my 10 year old didn't like it though that's one of his favorite foods boxed/homemade/El Pollo Loco/Popeyes, the black beans were ok. The mashed potatoes w/gravy were good. The ribs: the meaty exterior chunk of the pork ribs was super dry, the meat closer to the bone was more moist, but they were not juicy, fall off the bone, or fresh looking like some of the pics posted in prior reviews. The seasoning was good, but more like a rotisserie chicken you'd get from the grocery store, not like a southern BBQ rub and the ribs do not have a smoked flavor even though the restaurant smells like a traditional BBQ joint. The chicken: seemed old and dry...and I went for the thigh. The seasoning was the same as the ribs. IMHO, El Pollo Loco is better and if you want a standard, juicy rotisserie chicken- Smart and Final has a great bird for under $10. The BBQ sauce was weak, it did not have bold flavors like Sweet Baby Rays or Kinder. The sauce for the chicken wasn't that good either; there was a slight taste of cilantro but not sure what else was in it- I mainly used it because the chicken was dry. There were three ppl dining inside the restaurant (on Sahara Jones) when we went and there were only 2 slabs of ribs cooking, unlike prior pics with several slabs of ribs going all at once. Business seemed slow. No problems with the staff. Food was put together quickly, we were out the door in less than 10 minutes. There is plenty of seating inside, but, unless you want to smell like BBQ the rest of the day, I wouldn't recommend dining inside. I might try this place out for lunch for a wrap during the week. Maybe the chicken will be fresher then."
