"Hendricks Tavern is a hidden gem located in the heart of Roslyn. The service, from the valet attendants to the wait staff, was excellent and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The ambiance is warm, laid back, and relaxing. My wife had been wanting to try Hendricks Tavern for a while, so we decided to celebrate her birthday there. We made a reservation for outdoor seating and were accommodated without any issues. The food was superb! We enjoyed zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza as appetizers, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had Tavern BBQ Ribs and a 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak, which we shared. The sides of creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns were tasty, although the hash browns were a bit crunchy. Our desserts, carrot cake and homemade apple crisp, were also fantastic. The wait staff even sang happy birthday to my wife when they brought out her dessert, which was a nice touch. Overall, we had a great dining experience with delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxing atmosphere. I highly recommend giving this place a try. Thank you to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making my wife's birthday dinner special and memorable."

"I had the tasting of vegetables, Prix Fixe meal. Everything was fresh (so fresh!!! complex and contemplative. Some of the dishes were more subtle and earthy, but the stars were excellent. There was a vegetarian caviar court that tasted like I remember caviar. It was just wonderful. My only criticism; the foam on the opening coarse was a teeny bit jarring. It was beautiful and complex, but I think it was a touch of salt-- loved the heat though. The Pandan beer was a little too syrupy and reminded me of the old Coca Cola. I think something to increase the Pandan. Maybe a muddy basil or some tartberries? The honey-terragon wildflower drink, however, was straw shaking. Totally deleted. All in all, I definitely understand the 2 Michael Star rating. Well deserved. And the staff was so sweet."

"Reservations were on time. Service for a sat night was OK. Food was fine, Prime Rib was very fat. Portion sizes were good, but the noise level was terrible. I couldn't hear the person next to me. Prices were also a little expensive. Weekdays and Sundays are better, but if you like Prime Rib, there is a price to pay, not only in dollars and cents, but in hearing loss."

"I saw bad reviews but was still hopeful. Next time I will just stay downstairs with the awesome bartenders. Food and service was slow at best but it may have been all the kitchen's fault. At least they feed their staff I watched to from near walk out the back door with HUGE plates of food while waiting for mine to come. The apps were good. The entrees...The pescatarian of the group was served chicken instead of fish. When his market priced day boat fish came to the table it smelled horrible but he ate it. It wasn't good and he got sick later that evening. The rice on the dish was also undercooked. We should have went back downstairs when it took over 5 minutes to get someone to greet us. Lesson learned."

"Chow in Lafayette is the suburb cousin of Park Chow in the city. The food is definitely a cut above the standard ’burbs fare, but is step under great food. The menu is diverse – regardless of your mood and/or Finicky-ness – you will find something in the menu to interest you. A nice positive is that many of the dishes in different portion sizes (indicated by 2 or 3 different prices beside selected dishes), so you can order the right amount of food. The spaghetti and meatballs is a good portion, has rich sauce and juicy meatballs. The Thai-style noodles are spicy and a great dish when you have to warm up. I would rate the food 4 stars. What takes it down a star are 3 things: 1. Waiting can be laboriously long for comfort food. Do you really want to wait an hour to have these spaghetti and meatballs or a pepper soup? 2. For Asian dishes and meat dishes are the portions on the small side. You really notice the small size when you get out and you're spending a gut on your normal plates at home. 3. The place is invalid. Yeah, you have to call to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. With the noise it is a perfect place for dinner with small children. In most places, you'd be worried about them making too much noise. Not with Chow. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. Turned off at the back of a shopping center on the main street in Lafayette. Look after the Starbucks/A.G. Ferrari."

"We have not be back since Mothers Day, this was our first time and the food was luke warm at best, crab legs the first time we went up were brownish color and tasted terrible. More were brought out and were the perfect color and tasted better. The hot entrees were not tasty due to being cold or warm. Lox was fresh and very tasty, unfortunately it was not kept up and was always out when we went up. Bagels were dry and hard. Prime rib was way over done and cold"

"The food was good and the table service was great. My problem was with the hostess. I booked a table for 3 on Open Table. I arrived 5 minutes early, checked in, asked if an outside table was available, was told yes, that it was being cleaned. I stood for 15 minutes, the other 2 people in my party arrived, and I went back to the hostess and said, We 're ready to be seated now . She looked at me like she 'd never seen me before; I had to remind her of my name and reservation. She said, There 's someone leaving now, we 'll get the table clean . She then led us to an indoor table. I asked what happened to our outside table, to which she responded, Your entire party wasn 't here, we couldn 't hold the table, we had to seat someone else . I informed her that she never told me about a policy that I couldn 't be seated until my entire party arrived. I feel that she could have handled it better, informing me of the policy, and maybe saying We can still seat you outside but the wait may be a bit longer since your entire party isn 't here yet . There were 2 tables next to the hostess stand that sat 6 people; I heard her tell another guest that they reserved those tables for parties of 4 or more. I watched her seat a group of 3 young girls at one of the tables. It makes me think they are thinking of optics and pick and choose who they seat outside to make for a better visual ."

"I took my daughter and two of her friends to this restaurant for her 11th birthday. They had a fantastic time! It was a lot of fun. The prices are reasonable considering the location. My only issue is that the tables are quite close together, making it a bit challenging to access the bathroom when needed. Additionally, the bathroom is located in the adjacent hotel, not in the restaurant itself. This is just for your information, not necessarily a negative aspect."

"First time eating there and we found the food to be very good, however the food didn’t warrant the pricing. I know all the restaurants are raising their pricing, so it makes it difficult no matter where you go to eat. Would we entertain going there again, probably not. "Unfortunately, the somewhat average brunch food was completely forgotten by far below average service. baked easter over the brunch in range. while the restaurant was 1/3 full best, the service was unprofessional, slow and at the end (after we had to check our server for our food, flavor, drinks and check) simply rude. when my son commanded a soda that was forgotten so that we had to remember the server, so she put it in a huff and gave it the bottle. no glass. no straw. at no place we ever saw salt pepper or another spice. my cup cleaned coffee everywhere. Nobody asked if they could help. our brunch took forever so we had to ask the server to follow him. it was all ready and was probably for 15 minutes. it was like the staff was there all the time. at the end, someone who was a manager who was thrown away from me seemed to ride my sons while he almost knocked him into the head with the cast iron counter. I never asked if he was done. When my man asked this manager for the scary, she brought him with him, but never asked how brunch was. she seemed just as uninterested in it. when we were gone, the server was very happy to see us going. not a happy Easter or thanks for your visit. there are too many other good brunch places to disturb with range again and again."

"The New Pom Central, located on 7th Street, has a fantastic menu during their soft opening. We tried the Dragon Bowl, Quinoa Bowl, and Burger, and each dish was delicious! We started with a green juice and ended up being so full that we had to skip dessert. They offer a wide variety of vegan and gluten-free baked goods. I really enjoyed this place and can't wait to visit their new location in North Central. I will definitely be returning frequently!"

"We drove 20 miles to try their crepes, it was open, 3 hours before closing time, and we sat down but the waiter came to say they’ll be closing their kitchen and with a very “I don’t give a damn” attitude, did not serve us food. "Despite having a reservation, we had to wait more than 30 minutes for a table. To make matters worse, they had run out of one of the dishes we were looking forward to, which we could have gotten if we were seated on time. The food was decent, but the poor service at the beginning really tainted the whole experience. I would not recommend this restaurant."

"I only would maybe recommend it. The service was good but the wine service only fair. We ordered a 150 bottle of red wine , and it came ice cold . For a restaurant in the wine country this was unacceptable. Needless to say it took an hour to get to a better temperature even though we asked for a decanter . The food is along the lines of a steakhouse , sides need to be ordered extra . The chicken was very good but it came by itself for 25.00 . The trout also was very nice but only with a decoration of small greens on top 32.00 . We asked for a side of small red peppers , and they would have been great if they had not been charred black on one side . Not edible and we had to scrape it off. Same with the sunchokes we ordered , only the inside was edible. While some people might like all this charred food , we did not ."

"The food was pretty delicious. Chicken salad was at the top, but I thought I could be better at home. Hardened meat and cheese board was very nice, typical of the price Austin Faire. Ends to pay almost $60 for 2 entrées and drinks. Probably not go back, but it was definitely a good experience, would recommend everyone to visit Austin for the weekend."
