"Pretty disappointing experience given the reviews where some people said it's Michelin star worthy.. The waiter seemed new or less experienced about the menu because he didn't recommend that many dishes, just said what was popular. He was nice but not very present after receiving our food. Also he said to order everything at once for better pacing. The entrees took about 15-20 minutes to come out so I don't think the pacing is accurate. He also said to order 3-4 bites/appetizers for 2 people.. 2 was definitely enough and the entrees are pretty big. I appreciated the sommelier who served a drink that wasn't wine and the gentleman that brought our food. After entrees it took another 15 minutes to be asked about dessert.. He didn't even bring the menu so we passed. He also said something was coming but it was 2 small sugary candies, nothing for the boyfriend's birthday though I was told he would get an eclair. I guess telling them in advance and marking on OpenTable it's a birthday doesn't matter and the waiter didn't ask if we were celebrating anything. I understand this may be asking a lot but for this calibur of restaurant, it should be better. About the food.. the oven fired oysters were just lukewarm. The waiter said that was to melt the compound butter but we didn't experience low temperature of oven oysters at places like Hog Island. Flavor was great otherwise. The polenta was delicious and our favorite. Very flavorful and a great portion size. The duck and pork andouille entree was okay. It didn't look like a dish for the calibur of the restaurant or what they are trying to be. The halibut had great flavors but it was too dry. Pretty sad. Wouldn't come back nor recommend for a birthday/dinner. The bar inside was very bustling so maybe you should check that out instead if you're inclined. Appetizers are around $15-20, entrees $30~each. Cocktails $15~. Corkage is $40.. Not worth it."

"Rosetta calls itself a Trattoria. First of all, every trattoria in Italy has a tablecloth not wooden or plastic tables. Rosetta charges fine dining prices for an establishment where most men turn up in shorts for dinner and where the cooking has very little resemblance to Italian cooking. A Restaurant which would not last a week in Italy. My husband ordered Fettuccini alla Bolognese. The sugo bore no resemblance to a true Bolognese sauce neither in texture , colour nor cooking. In fact, the much too wide fettuccini were floating in a pale reddish liquid sauce with no trace of extra virgin olive, long slow cooking or parmigiano reggiano. I, on the other hand, had the tagliolini with crab and chili. In Italy the dish would have had a liberal taste of peperoncino and sufficient salt. mine had neither. Then came the Parmigiana di Melanzane with huge thick slices of eggplant layered with thick unmelted slices of Fiore di Latte not Buffalo mozzarella covered with an insipid tomato sauce and practically no parmesan or basil. I have lived in Italy for years and know Italian cooking. In addition, I know how to cook it"

"It was my 2nd time for our after work party for Ingram Micro. We had delish food and plenty of tasty drinks from their extensive list. Our server was very attentive and even brought us rounds of ice water at the end of the night, as it was really hot out. Very thoughtful. Love the patio !"

"Still a favorite place to eat! Iâm no longer regularly in Providence, so I hadnât eaten here in several years. It was the same great experience as I remembered, and even the nearby parking garage (no valet service at lunch) had easy drop-off and a nice attendant."

"The menu at this restaurant is excellent, and the service is superb. They are very detailed oriented and are pet, kids, and business friendly. What more could you ask for? Special mentions to Pilar and Manuela for their dedicated service, and to the night manager who was incredibly kind and efficient. Our customer experience at Aileen last night, March 28, 2024, was outstanding."

"This charming restaurant offers excellent service, a diverse menu, and an extensive wine selection that may be a bit pricey for some. The standout dish was the Veal Loin Scaloppine, prepared in a Piccata style with a flavorful lemon caper butter sauce, creamy potato puree, and garlic spinach. The Fig Salad was also impressive, featuring fresh greens, crispy pancetta, and mild blue cheese, though we wished for more marinated figs. The Lobster Ravioli was tasty but overshadowed by a strong mushroom sauce. With careful dish selection and a few glasses of wine, a meal here can be affordable."

"Our service and our server Danielle was amazing! She was very fun and friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She was able to assist us along the way in making our menu choices iambs was probably one of the very best waitresses that we have ever had to be quite honest. The restaurant was peaceful the atmosphere was beautiful, and I would definitely make future plans to return again."

"I liked the Valentina and Vulcano pizzas both, great flavor, wish maybe a few more jalapeños on the Vulcano bc it really didn't have much spice to it. The crust was very chewy which seems to be a reoccurring theme. The mixed baby green salad is normally great but this time overdressed with olive oil so we had to force ourselves to get it down."

"Came in with a large group who chose this place by a majority vote. Foods are alright. Not comfortable when they are pushy upselling to add meats, meats, meats, meats, staff is obsessed with upsell meats on one's meal, to my vegetarian dishes. I make clear I don't want meat on any veggie meal or side dish. So, vegetarians, heads up, and be firm.Cole slaw was good!!!! Potato salad was good. Onion rings, not well fried. Overall, it was alright.Vegetarian options: Baked potatoes, fries, side dishes. Head ups, they will push you to upsell adding meats. Be firm!"

"We randomly stopped in here yesterday on our way to Central Park to walk to The Met. The hot and cold bars were fantastic. The roasted carrot and arugula salad was my favorite. My wife enjoyed fried chicken and a cold pasta salad. The sliced fresh fruit from the bar was spectacularly flavorful and fresh. The man who checked us out was kind and very hospitable he made sure we had everything we needed to dine in. Thank you!"

"We absolutely adore Italian Eatery and are incredibly disappointed to see it shut down. It was one of the rare dining spots where our daughter-in-law, who has Celiac disease, could safely enjoy a meal. The food was always mouthwateringly delicious and reasonably priced. Here's hoping for an Italian Eatery cookbook in the future!"

"Fun ambiance. Good was ok, very overpriced for quality. Server was big in upselling and quite pushy. Asked if we wanted bread and butter, made it free, but it was an extra $5. The apple cake dessert was not heated all the way. The middle was cold and muddy. Could go back and get a drink at the bar and some frits. The Pommes were the highlight of the meal."
