"Overall, we were pleased with our lunches. The serving sizes are very large and as a result the prices are higher than most Mexican food places. We ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were loaded with melted cheese. I ordered a 2 taco combo with two kinds of beans. The black beans were good, the refried beans were just OK. The shredded beef taco was very good. The fish taco tasted very good but I didn't care for the presentation."

"We've been customers for 20 years since we moved to the area. They are a large family and have always consistently provided great food and service. We have inaugurated, ordered to go and delivered meals. You also looked after our parties and family dinners, and I can never remember ever having problems. We have been pulled out of the state since then and go for a few meals when we visit back. We recently had my son's graduation party when we came home last weekend. "Tonight, I have to say that I was very disappointed with Xcaret. I have dined here multiple times and always recommended this place to family, friends, and colleagues when they visit the city. The manager, Fernando, on the right side, claimed to be the manager of the establishment and was also our server. I don't even know where to begin. First, we waited for over 15 minutes to be seated. I went to the restroom and saw him texting, not realizing he was our server. We started with margaritas and I requested a glass of water. My aunt and I ordered mango margaritas, which were bland and lacked color. Then I ordered chicken with flour tortillas. The bread and bell peppers came out first, but no tortillas. Not a big deal, but after another 15 minutes, I saw our manager/waiter outside on his phone. I politely told him I didn't want to eat anymore because it was cold. He offered to remake it, but I declined as we had already waited a long time. Seeing our manager/waiter visit a neighboring table three times while ignoring us was very disappointing. In the meantime, the other members of my party had not received their food. After about another 15 minutes, Fernando came to ask if I needed a takeout box. I reiterated that I hadn't touched my food. He agreed to clear the table but insisted on leaving the margarita because "nothing was wrong with it." When I questioned how he knew without checking, he became defensive. The most disappointing part of my visit was his rude and dismissive attitude. As we expressed our dissatisfaction, he simply said, "It will be better in the future." Sadly, if he is actually the manager and represents the other managers at Xcaret, this restaurant may soon join the list of failed establishments in the downtown area of Winston-Salem."

"I had an amazing experience at this diner! Our waitress, Carrol, was wonderful and attentive from the moment we sat down until we left. The food was fresh, hot, and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend this place for brunch or a quick meal. The cream of broccoli soup was delicious, my chicken fettuccine Alfredo was amazing, and my girlfriend enjoyed her cheesesteak without any toppings. I only wish I had more money to tip Carrol!"

"Food was very good. Happy hour was half off margaritas or beer. I had the Compadre Special. It was very filling and tasty. My only complaint was the salsa. It wasn't bad, but very simple and tasted like canned tomatoes. It could have used some spices and cilantro. We requested spicy salsa and it was flavor packed, but HOT. Will visit again. Update: just recently had the black bean soup and while simple, it was tasty. Nice if you don't want a heavy meal. Also, the salsa was fantastic this time. Less tomato flavor than last time."
