"If you haven't been to Lord Essex since September, you haven't been to Lord Essex. They have changed the format to an upscale steakhouse, and the experience was fantastic. We started with crab claws, shrimp cocktail, and crab cakes for appetizers. They were wonderful. Then we had lobster bisque and French onion soup, again fantastic. The steaks are all presented to you along with ala carte side options. We had the filet and surf turf along with asparagus and loaded mashed potatoes. Wow it was all great, and the steaks were perfectly prepared. Then we took a piece of cake to go. That too was wonderful. The service was impeccable, and the setting is intimate. Give it a try if you haven't been there in a while. It is pricey however, but worth it if you want an elegant dinner in Rochester."
