"We went to an elopement and took 8 friends who drove a long way to dinner/flog. The location was nice and the food was amazing. Scott was our host and did a fantastic job. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The grill was very busy, but I guess that was to be expected when the food was so good. The shrimp and lobster bisque were the best I ever had. "terrible experience. we waited 90 minutes behind our reservation time, just to sit, only then to learn that there were only two cooks for 14 hibachi tables, and we were eight tables away from a cook. we might have missed if someone had at least taken our drinks and appetizers and sushi order. but after another 30 minutes at the table we finally sat up and went. I understand that many restaurants are only short employees. but at least be honest about when they take reservations or greeting guests."

"I ordered delivery from Sakana for the first time today. Big disappointment. The flavors weren't on par with Japanese cuisine. The Teriyaki chicken tasted like rosemary. The miso soup had zero tofu or seaweed. The ramen broth was one of the worst tasting tonkatsu broths I've had, in addition to the broth to noodle ratio being a 1 to 3 portion. I've been to Tokyo twice and travel all over the US for work. In my travels, I've had more Asian cuisine than anything else. Hard pass on this place. Try Mr.Max in Irving for authentic, delicious Japanese."

"Not the best experience. Poor from walking in the door. Not greeted, not seated promptly, linen napkin was thread worn and had a string on it. The fork was cheap and old. The floor around our hibachi table was dirty, even though we were there for a 5 o'clock reservation. The food was okay but not great. The chef was good but the fan at our table was so loud we couldn't hear him. Our server was great and bet competent, especially as she was managing several tables. A manager bumped into me on the easy out. He was walking around the dining room not looking where he was going. He apologized but didn't ask if our dinner was good, say have a nice evening, thank you nothing. I think he exemplifies the overall atmosphere there very few seemed happy to be there."

"I was greatly surprised with the service and quality of the establishment, It far exceeded my mothers expectations and she is one finicky woman, I would have given it 5 stars all the way however I was disappointed when we arrived at 5:25 for a 5:30 reservation and my mother (who is 80 years old) could not use the restroom until exactly 5:30"

"We went to Asahi Japanese Steak Sushi for a friend 's birthday dinner. It was your typical Japanese hibachi grill show and food. I had the teriyaki salmon and my husband had the New York steak. Our entrées included screamed rice, salad, soup, vegetables, and rainbow sherbet. The food was good, the show was good and it was a nice dinner party. They sang happy birthday to my friend and that involved a gong so it was a little loud. The parties in adjacent rooms were also celebrating birthdays so we heard the singing and the gong multiple times throughout our dinner.Parking: The restaurant is located in a strip mall shopping center."

"To be fair I will start by saying I went on Valentine's Day so...the fact that the service AND the wait for my reserved table was rather long should be tempered with the fact. One more negative (slight was the waitress was not very up on the wine list BUT she did take the time to go and ask all the appropriate questions which was appreciated. The food: my companion and I had the Chateau Briand for Two. It was just a bit chewy but cooked as we had asked. I thought it lacked the flavor and tenderness I would have expected from this menu item. In addition, it was precut as opposed to being sliced at our table. The atmosphere was extremely cozy as we lucked out and got a table right in front of the fire place very romantic. All was pleasant throughout the evening. My companion and I both want to go back but agreed we could skip the menu items and just have plate after plate of those fabulously yummy corn cakes they were SO good! We couldn't get enough and, had our meal not come, we would have continued gorging ourselves on these constantly replenished, delightfully sinful snacks. Needless to say it was quite some time before our belly's recovered from the overload but they are so great. One last downfall that is important 4 drinks (2 of them basic Old Fashioned $42.00. It's not even that costly in Manhatten (Oy! How much WOULD a Manhatten have cost?"
