"I've been a HUGE fan of the D.C. Bourbon Steak for about 8 years now and go there every time I'm in town. I was in Santa Clara this past week and needed a place for dinner on Thursday night so I was quite excited when I saw that there was a Bourdon Steak in the Forty Niner stadium. The meal started off great with the trio of flavored duck fat fries and dipping sauces which were as good as ever. Unfortunately, that's where the goodness stopped. I ordered my favorite ribeye and truffle mac n'cheese. The ribeye in D.C. is probably one of the best that I've ever had in my life. This one, was one of the most average ones I've ever had. No flavor, rather tough, just blah. The mac n'cheese tasted like something out of a box and I think they might've forgotten to put the truffle oil in as I sure didn't taste it. What a disappointing meal when I had such high expectations. The one highlight of the evening was the service which was fantastic. Kudos to the service staff there. I hope Mr. Mina checks in on them and rights the ship or else they won't be open much longer. Looking forward to my next trip back to the Bourbon Steak in D.C."
