"Osterio is a certainly fine dining but overall we were disappointed for a number of reasons. For each course, one of us was disappointed in what was served. I started with the Caprese salad , but instead of using succulent heirloom tomatoes, the dish used Tiny cherry tomatoes buried in a huge bed of greens, and the supposedly homemade mozzarella looked and tasted more like shaved Parmesan. The dressing was overly sweet, heavy and did not resemble balsamic vinegarette. Nor did the dish resemble any kind of Caprese salad that I ever had been served. It shouldn’t be called a Caprese salad in my opinion. My wife however enjoyed the Harvest salad. The bread seemed not to be fresh, and was on the stale side. For entrees, my wife got the Haddock with roasted mushrooms and potato purée special, which I must say was off the charts delicious. But I was disappointed in the Tuscan seafood stew. It contained shrimp, nicely done, but the rest of the dish consistent of rubbery, tiny calamari, tiny, tiny mussels in the shell, and a tiny piece of white fish, all buried in a spicy sauce with three or four large ciabatta on the top. Visually it was more appetizing than the actual experience of eating the dish. The service was just so so. We had to ask for bread, and it took and overly long time before we were able to place our order. However, someone did come over to take our drink order right after we were seated which was nice. On the plus side, my wife’s drink was superb. She got the Hayride, and it cleverly had a thin apple slice affixed to the lip of the glass with a close pin. Pretty cool. Bottom line for us: This restaurant is not cheap, and we expected a better dining experience for the price. We might return because of the Haddock dish, but otherwise not sure"

"The food was great. It was a little bit pricey and the lunch menu was very limited. I gotta come for dinner next time because the dinner menu looks more extensive and had more variety. I decided to come here after reading reviews for the place I always ordered on door dash and finding out some unsavory information. One of the reviews specifically mentioned that they were grateful Oshima was only down the street, so I decided to give them a try instead. The restaurant was clean and the staff was very kind and upbeat. My dad (who does not like sushi but foolishly just ordered what I did, even though I love it) actually placed a second order halfway into the meal and they were very gracious about it. They didn't act annoyed or put upon at all, and were able to bring it out relatively quickly. I'm usually a little stingy with the tip, but they took good care of us so I was more than happy to be more generous. My only complaint is that they don't have physical menus. They just placed down 2 QR codes that download the food menu and beverage menu onto your phone. It was a little inconvenient because scrolling around the tiny font on your phone screen is a bit of a pain as opposed to having a proper menu in your hand to look at. The hostess also didn't actually tell us that was what they were for. I just figured it out when they never brought menus. So, if we were older or smart phone illiterate, we might not have ever figured it out. Other than that, it was great. I'll definitely go back. The dinner menu looks great. Or I might even just order a sushi boat and leave dad behind lol."
