"We had been looking forward to a meal at Servando 's for the past several months and delayed our decision because friends had gone there and they were disappointed with the food. Since that time, Servando 's has changed their menu so we decided to give it a try. Despite being less than half full, the restaurant was loud and chaotic. For an appetizer we ordered deep fried mac cheese ball expecting several bite sized balls. Instead it was one gigantic softball sized ball so we got mostly mac cheese and little of the deep fried crust on the outside. My wife is a vegetarian and the restaurant has no vegetarian entrees but, to the chef 's credit, he did come to the table and ultimately decided that he could make her a vegetarian cioppino dish which was very good. I had the house special for the evening. paella, which was good but, for the money, quite a small portion. It did come with a free glass of sangria which had virtually no alcoholic content. In general, for what they charge for the food, we can do a lot better in other restaurants. That said, it would be a good place to go for happy hour 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm when drinks and appetizers are all half price. That makes the food and drink a lot more affordable and they do have a good selection of appetizers."
