"This new Center City diner could fill a need for same left by loss of Little Pete's and Midtowns. Totally and very nicely renovated space. One negative was that there is one doorway without vestibule or other wind block. On cold day, the open door makes restaurant very uncomfortable. I had simple eggs, bacon, homefries and rye toast w small fruit salad. Everything was good and made as requested. Other diner had a turkey sandwich w cole slaw and Russian dressing (They call it Rachel which is made w hot Turkey and Swiss). It was not on the menu but graciously made. The sandwich was only OK. Problems were that Turkey was COLD, cole slaw was very wet and messy and there was almost no Russian Dressing (which would have been too much based on the cole slaw). Fries were good. Service was fine but overall needs some organization. Host was pleasant but seemingly inexperienced. He seated people at snails pace despite MANY open clean tables, he left whole cakes hanging over the edge of the cashier's desk while he slowly did other tasks and we watched as some customers almost knocked them over. Meanwhile, he left a large black box of dishes and silverware precariously perched on a chair. Shortly thereafter, the entire thing crashed onto the floor. Took 10 minutes or more before anyone came to clean up the dishes."
