"We had a party of 9 and we were originally seated at a table that could only seat 6 comfortably. We requested to be moved to a larger table area. They did, but not happily. It took several times to place our order because either they did not understand what we wanted or was not paying attention to what we were saying. My son in-law was not able to eat his meal, he said it was terrible. My beans and rice was cold. Others were not able to eat for various reasons. We will not be returning to this restaurant."

"Fast forward to today, I decided to give it another chance, hoping for improvements. I ordered my platter without octopus or oysters, and I was pleased to find it delicious. It was still $3 more expensive than I remembered, but at least I don't have to drive to the San Marcos location anymore. I deducted one star from my rating because the two workers at the restaurant were not wearing masks. With everything that is going on, I believe they should have been wearing masks for the safety of customers like me who are following guidelines."

"One of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Bakersfield is consistently great, with generous portions that ensure you'll never leave hungry. My top choice is the Enchilada Suizas, followed closely by the Albondigas soup. The suizas remain fantastic! I ended up taking half my meal home due to the large portions. As always, the taco and enchilada plate is delicious!"

"I ordered a super burrito end it was huge. Well upon eating it it was filled with huge amounts of rice and beans. I didnt find any meat in it but there mightve been a tiny amount hidden in all that rice and beans. The super tamales didnt come with any cheese on top and had a very small amount of filling. Wish I could include pictures. You wouldnt believe how small the amount of meat in them was. And the cheese tomorrow we had some kind of weird brown chewy cheese inside of it. Was it burned? Was it bad? Disgusting. "

"Good *cheap* seafood. Service was great, my server struggled a bit with English but was very friendly. Food was good, very generous portions for the price. Fried rice seemed more Asian inspired than Mexican, but still tasted great. Fish was a bit overcooked, but the shrimp was perfect.It's not papadoux by any stretch, but I got a big lunch for about $20, served by a nice latina lady who didn't care that I was dirty from working"
