"We were on our way home over I91 from a ski tour, so my wife in the mood for a good New England clam chowder. We had two main selection criteria. That it was on the way home and that it wasn't too expensive. The last and obvious criteria were that it was great food and boy delivered it. We had no breakfast yet, but we had an early lunch. The nice lady who served us said the best onion rings in the city when she served her first dish appetizer. When she came back, my wife and I said that we both agreed. But instead, she should say the best onion rings in the whole state. The Fried Calamari was crispy and tender and it was a nice part for the exchange like the onion rings. Undoubtedly they used the same dough and that was good by us. Just note that the dough is on the salty side. We had pommes on the side that was a good supplement. The Coleslaw the standard, but made fresh. The Clam Chowder was excellent. My wife was pretty happy, but I would have preferred more pieces of shells. We would definitely come back, especially if certain seafood is available."
