"Little Gem! I LOVE to cook at home and once in a while I want to take a little break. Well, this little gem of a place was on point! Service- (Ask for Nic) Polite and on his game. Friendly and always made sure to take away our empty plates and refill our drinks. He is a young man and must brag about his work. When he wasn't busy, I saw him helping and keeping busy. KUDOS Nic! Don't change. Food- Oh My! I was craving a Chicken Fried Steak; I loved the portion size and the mashed potatoes were yummy! I just don't like my food smothered or drowning in gravy, I ordered it on the side and it was delicious. My Love ordered the Open Faced Roast Beef Sandwich, he gave me a sliver of a taste and goodness exploded on my taste buds. Spoke with one of the owners, she was super nice and listened to me brag about Nic and the cute little gem of a place. I almost didn't want to write this review as I wanted to keep the secret to myself but as we were walking out, there was a room full of waiting patrons. Now I know its not a secret, just nobody told me about this place. Very important- The employees wash their hands ALL the time. The kitchen and serving area is open (which I like) and a small sink was nearby and let me just say, I have never seen employees was their hands so much while working......Keep it up! Thanks to Google in my search for Chicken Fried Steak, I found this place and my next review will be for Breakfast....so stay tuned!"

"My girlfriend and I were in Campbell to drop off some Christmas gifts the other night and we were getting hungry so we started looking for a place for good cocktails and food. We saw Willard Hicks and thought this place looks great let's give it a try. We had just come from a place down the block that looked good but they have cheap booze in their well so the drink's we not good. It's the first time I had an old fashion that I didn't finish. Maybe our fault for not calling our liquor but we didn't know they had some no name unheard of whiskey in the well. Willard Hicks has Bullit Bourbon in the well. Not bad! We love to eat at the bar so we stepped right up and were immedietly greeted by the bartender who laid two menus cocktail side up on the bar. Wow great looking drink's on the menu so we ordered a couple and they were great! I had a drink called Some Like It Hot! It's a tequila drink with Jalapeño, cucumber and lime it was excellent! My Girlfriend got the Intruder a Whiskey based drink and she really liked it too. We split a fancy wedge salad that was great then moved on to the entree which was a Braised short-rib on top of Horseradish mashed potatoes. It was excellent. I am a desert fiend and could not pass up the Chocolate Ganache with fresh Strawberries and ice cream. It was so good I could have had another. Our bartender was great! I don't know if I have his name right but I think it was Burnsen. It's close so ask for him if you sit at the bar. All in all it made our trip from Livermore worth it and we will definitely be back! "UPDATE(2022): Give credit where credit it is due! Red Lobster is pretty post Covid. My wife and I continue to go there 2 3x a year, and the last experiences (including Valentine's Day) were so much better! My wife never fluctuates from the fried shrimps of the whale; I discovered Salmon New Orleans (boiled three times for perfection). All this I have changed my previous review from 1 to 4 's! What happened to Red Lobster? What a disappointing culinary experience! Where should I start? At the five o'clock dinner hour the restaurant was completely made of lobster and butterfly shrimp. The bowl of shells was delivered, but seemed to be filled less than half (I asked a more generous portion and it came back with so much more). The soup was thin and scanned certainly not rich or creamy. My wife remembers the Caesar salad with shredded cheese on previous occasions, but not tonight. And the tarter sauce, what happened to the tarter sauce? Previously it was brownish with a lot of relish; tonight 's tarter sauce was almost entirely Mayonnaise with a trace of Relish all so often (on tight inspection). The special charged side sequence of harvest vegetables was boiled and meager (all 5 brussel sprouts and and about one third of a cup of diced sweet potatoes for an extra $2.50 we returned). I thought nothing was a call to the service. Finally, after payment in cash, I received my change that included forty cents delivered in nickel, all eight of them."
