"The restaurant is beautifully designed and the chef clearly has a good understanding of food. We were excited to try many dishes as everything on the menu sounded delicious. However, our server's lack of hospitality made us hesitant. We ultimately ended up only ordering a few items. It's concerning when you have to initiate greeting your server. The overall experience was impacted by this weak link."

"Zuni is one of our favorites. But the service has deteriorated under the new tipping regime. Servers were generally tuned-out and just going through the motions. The old crew of servers was always big on personality and big on hustle, making for an enjoyable and personalized experience. Now they avoid eye contact lest they be hit up for some silverware. Food was excellent though. The kitchen is still crushing it. Especially the women making the Caesar salads and the chicken for two. They were both working non stop and putting out great food!"

"The view at the restaurant exceptional, hard to beat the stunning view however the food was just okay. Not sure why they have such a limited menu at a Resort Spa. They supposedly had Tapas Tuesday however their menu really did not have Tapas super limited. If they expanded their menu this would be a great destination restaurant"

"As of our visit SF is in the orange tier and we opted for indoor dining as it was cooling down. Sat at a corner table thinking permitted occupancy we’d be spread out. We were surprised that a family of was seated directly behind us away. We try to mask whenever wait staff approach; people behind us, NO. Place was filling up, most at the bar, milling together. No social distancing.Food was quite good. Pinsas San Francisco Prosciutto were substantial; black pepper pasta was everyone’s favorite; tagliatelle bolognese just ok. Brussels sprouts superb, an all around favorite roasted with a hint of vinegar lemon rind. Stuffed pork chop prosciutto mozzarella and flat iron equally delicious, perfectly done. We had to bring some portions of pinsa secondi home as we were stuffed.Overall, a very good choice though it would’ve been better if the music was turned down a decibel or two. Wait staff attentive courteous"

"I went to Barbara Pinseria on a Saturday for a friend's birthday. Overall, it was absolutely perfect for the type of experience we were aiming for very lively and fun, with awesome views to people watch, and the restaurant itself is very stylish. The main issue is the staff wasn't very attentive, and even though we wrote that it was my friend's birthday in the reservation notes, we had to go out of our way to ask/remind them for the birthday sparklers. To be fair, it did look like our waitress was covering all the tables, so they may have just been short staffed. For birthdays, they bring out a slice of birthday cake, dim the lights, pump up the music, and as mentioned, there are sparklers!! So that was super cool. The food wasn't piping hot as I would have liked, but very good fresh and flavorful. The portions are also pretty decently sized. When we got the check, we were shocked...by how reasonable it was! So overall, I loved it, and will definitely go back again and again."

"Brought a good friend here from out of town. Initially put off by the musty foot smell and aroma carried throughout the restaurant. Server was quite stoic. Ordered the Saeng Wah Salad which was the biggest mistake I have ever made when ordering anywhere. I am convinced of this as no one else has written a review about this dish, all too wise to order. This dish is a bowl of room temp. fried crusties with some room temp shrimps and i guess catfish, that tasted like lemongrass. So bad I I had to scrape off my plate back into the bowl which upset our server; I am unsure as to why. Panang quite spicy, pretty good, but overall not worth 30$. No meat and I've had much better for 12$. So many places to eat in SF. I would avoid this one."

"Not gonna lie. It's gross. Walk in and smells like a convalescent home with smokers. Kitchen smokey and no customers because they smoking darts back there. Music stops and staff don't care to put it back on. Order a drink, barkeep walks to wall to read what's in it, the glass comes with specs of something foreign in rim. I stuck to bottled beer. Was cold but never know what they charge if you do a big order."
