"A miss! This was our 31st Trip to St Barths and we were at this point when the restaurant Le Rivage was called. We tried it after it was reopened as Amis about 3 4 years ago. It wasn't very good at that time. After hearing the new chefs, we decided to try again and we are very excited. It wasn't worth it. A smoked bourbon drink that sounded really good. 1 hour later, after the appetizers were almost ready, they asked if we wanted wine. We reminded them of the cocktail we never got. They quickly brought them into a very unusual glass that you have quite a lot to use a straw. We could say that the drink had no blows and it was super strong. I drink regularly old-fashioned and that was stronger. Does it turn out that the smoke machine has been broken so that it uses Makers Mark instead? They didn't sue us after they asked how we liked it. The starters were really good (Fish Krudo) and decent (Octopus). The main course of Cod was extremely boiled, like the Lake Bass. The Dover Sole was good. People serving were very nice and tried hard, but you don't ignore the cocktail order if you can't do it like the Bourbon you say. Also ask for wine request if you order your food, not 1 hour later. The restaurant decor and ambience is excellent. I asked the server to tell us about the chef and she said she was only there 1 month and he's a very nice guy. She said he made the menu, but it sounded like he wasn't there to cook it. If you order wine, Krudo fish and Dover sole, you probably have a great experience. This was our 6th dinner on our current trip and by far last place so far (through a big margin)"
