"I was disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Despite calling ahead to let them know I would be arriving 15 minutes early at 4:15 instead of 4:30, there was no one outside to greet us and our table was not set. The server didn't take our drink order or greet us until we had been sitting there for five minutes. When we are spending a significant amount of money on a company dinner, we expect better service. The person who answered the phone was helpful and said there would be no issue, but upon arrival, it was clear that the staff was not prepared to open. This was on a Friday night, and I believe they can do better."

"This place gets a star because zero was not an option. We called in advance to make a reservation and were told that they did not make reservations on weekends (Friday Night), but only arrive at 19:00 and it would not be too busy. This was for a birthday dinner with 7 adults and two children. We showed up at 19:00 and one side of the restaurant was apparently reserved for a children's party and the other side was half empty. There was no hostess and no one talking to him worked there when we came in. When we finally decided to venture into the other room without anyone working there, was the first question we were asked? Of course, this was a shocking question. We replied that we had no reservations because we were told that they did not take them on weekends. Half of the Hibachi tables were empty. We said the earliest 8:30. Everyone was very rude and did not try to accept us. The restaurant looks kind of shady inside and is clear to fight for a reason. Don't be surprised if you soon get a voucher in the mail from them. There's a reason why. A half empty restaurant that doesn't want a business. Never go."

"I honestly don’t understand the hype for this restaurant, especially considering the price. We ordered swordfish, which came in a tiny portion, was overcooked, and under-seasoned. The green salad had literally no seasoning, and the French fries tasted as if they took McDonald's fries and refried them. The sushi and oysters were okay. And the bathrooms—they were an absolute mess and disgusting. I usually don’t leave negative feedback, but it really feels like they don’t care and just want your money."

The food was not one of the best if not the best seafood I ever had when considering the portion sizes, the diving sauce selection, the crumbness of the fried dough. The presentation of the steamed/broiled food in the paper containers leaves something to be desired, but I would definitely see everything in everything in the future. It just happened in this place because BG was closed for the season. Well, what was ordered: 1. fried Calamari it didn't need the sauce at all. Soft, not rubbery, tasteful and well cooked. 2. Sweet potato fries huge portion. large texture 3. Coconut shrimps talk about Jumbo shrimps! the Mango Chutney sauce that came with him was the cherry up. I would have a second help for the road 4. Broken fish with rice pilaf my order came wrong, but the manager was quick to correct 5. Shrimp scampi with garlic bread, rice pilaf and Koleslaw It is great that they have a curly menu as well as the fried menu. Good variety and options."

"Every time I’m in town, this has always been the best place to come to with delicious dining options without having to drive to Northampton for finer dining that isn’t commercialized . Tavern On the Hill was excellent prior to recently changing the menu and now only serving BBQ. When we walked in, the staff was not as attentive or welcoming and it was all young kids who lacked hospitality skills. We were seated in the lower dining area for roughly 10 minutes without being acknowledged and it wasn’t busy. After being provided menus, we realized everything we usually ordered every time we are here was removed from the menu and in shock because we don’t care for BBQ. The French Onion Soup, Thai Mussels, the Pear Vanilla Vinaigrette salad and the Jumbalaya were the best here and my favorite most flavorful items. We ended up getting up from our table after deciding we were going to go somewhere else for dinner and then proceeded to sit at the bar. I’ve never waited so long to be asked if I wanted anything to drink here and a full 35mins later we finally had a cocktail, cashed out and left. It was not the same. Cocktail was good, as always."

"My husband and I celebrated our 20. Anniversary. Except a few people at the bar, we were the only 2 restaurants. The food was absolutely wonderful and the staff was very friendly. In honor of our anniversary, Omar sent us a chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries. We've known Omar for a few years while he was running North End Steakhouse. He does an excellent job and follows his dream. I highly recommend this place. Good luck, Omar!! Live the dream!!"

"So... this was one of the best meals of my life, but also with a few wicked fails. The Dungeness Crab, the shrimp, and the corn are beyond amazing. One of the best seafood meals I've had. But the lobster bisque has no lobster and tasted a little like watered down con queso dip. The garlic bread is bland and doughy, like garlic bread they'd serve at a middle school cafeteria. And the crab cakes are pretty average. But seriously, five stars and then some, because the Dungeness Crab and the shrimp are just that good"

"Fisherman?s platter got a light crispy bread together with refreshing Coleslaw not heavily covered with just mayonnaise. Seafood Alfredo tasted more like seafood Mac cheese, but every bite was fresh and well cooked. I was initially hesitant to try deep fried seafood and pasta dish, as they tend to be difficult to season and thick bread, but I was wrong. Very satisfied and loved the outdoor dining experience. Friendly staff and good service were definitely a big plus!"
