"simply putting this place is highly recommended (easily expensive, but they get what they pay for.) that eating was delicious. everyone in my party of 4 loved entrees, apps and desserts. we had calf meat, forellen almandin, chicken cordbleu and especially. my only complaining is a tiny one. I am allergic to wobble and garlic and, while my trout was perfect, the kartoffels they had served me had wobble everywhere. I gave it to my man who enjoyed it, but they should be more cautious about the allergies of men in the kitchen (and my bad to not wait for the workers over the goof.)"

"Cheaper prices as sheephead bay for seafood and fresher seafood. Find offers on the lunch special such as the Filet Sandwich or oyster sandwich. My mom loved the fillet sandwich. Lunch on baked shells for six shells is less than the menu price for the same. Prices are much more than a year ago, but still for the portion size it is better than anywhere else you would go to. Expect to spend at least $100 for three people. The seafood plate for forty dollars is for two people and it is over linguins and full seafood. It is a beautiful looking poster and image worthy and a deal for what you get. Tony ate most of the seafood plate and took the rest home. Bread is free and the house white wine is six dollars a large glass. It is a temptation not to fill the bread alone. Good place to teach children to eat seafood for the first time. Don't buy steaks here. It is too expensive and the cook does not know how to make it juicy, but well done. This is a sign that the cook does not experience cooking steak. But the seafood is cooked well and not hard at all. Go to lunch special when you go cheap, but buy the seafood plate for two if you want to splurge. All seafood that I would recommend. The trip is worthwhile if you have a car. Go."

"Love coming to Mama Mia's with my family. Their pasta dishes are yummy, and my son loves the pizza. He eats the whole kids pizza every time we visit. I ordered the chicken parmigiano with spaghetti lunch, and my husband ordered the assorted pastas in alfredo sauce. Both were delicious. Perfect portion sizes and great prices. Service can be a little slow, but worth the wait. I love that it's a family owned and run restaurant. We'll definitely be back!"

"We were a group of 14, and the service and food were outstanding. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly, making it feel just like being back in Italy! I ordered the calamari, which was fantastic, but I can understand why it wouldn’t be ideal for takeout—the tender breading is best enjoyed while it's still hot. We tried a wonderful variety of dishes from the menu, and everyone truly loved their meal. The salad, particularly the tomato salad, was exceptional, and the house-made warm bread was simply to die for."

"I live nearby and this is one of my go-to dessert, coffee, and pastry place. Their lunch quiches are always perfectly fluffy and fresh. The coffee and the baristas are consistently great. My only wish is that they were open for more hours (and weekends) but totally understandable given the slow rate of downtown customers!"

"So we usually live this restaurant. The food is authentic old school, red sauce Italian. Even at this last visit the food was good. But when we arrived, there was a big party in this very small restaurant. They basically screamed through their dinner. I don't blame the restaurant for it. They had no control over rude, harmful customers. What they had over control was the 1(minutes before someone harassed even to bring us menus. Or the 20 minutes they took to be us, then they left, even though they had always asked. I understood they had a big and difficult group. But they're understated, maybe they shouldn't take such a big group. I hesitate to pick this restaurant on the side, the food is so good. But that was absurd. And instead of my ordinary 4, I have no choice but a third. And the only reason why they get this is because I live their food and because we were there earlier than I would have given them 5"

"We are long time customers and have even brought friends here. The food is quite good. Just yesterday we had dinner there and we had Annie as a server. Things did not go well from the start. We told her to bring us focaccia bread with the usual bread butter they offer. Right away she said they ran out if it (we’ve heard that many times in the last year). My husband and I we both ordered chicken yolanda which comes with pasta. I asked for linguine and although I asked for the pasta to be well cooked, it came out al dente which is hard, and difficult for me to digest. After we finished we realized we never got the salad that is included. We had to ask for it and had it after the main food. When the bill came I noticed I was charged $3.95 for seltzer water. I was surprised because many restaurants don’t charge for that. By the time you add tax tip, you pay $5 for essentially water with gas. What happened after, finally really put us off. Since the server screwed up and never brought the salad before the main course like she’s supposed to and we were now eating it at the end, Annie the waitress kept coming to grab the payment. She saw we were eating but yet came a total of 4 times. She kept interrupting and we kept saying we didn’t do it yet. On the fourth time I finally had enough of her and the pressure she was putting on us and I told her she was too much and I don’t want her coming to the table again until we’re done. In a very obnoxious tone she said “got it”. We were so put off I’m not sure we’ll be rushing back there even though we’re long time patrons. To our disappointment we also found out they no longer do the 1/2 price special on Mondays like they used to. My rating is 3 stars because the food is good but I would give 1 star for the service"
