"I started to follow them on the FB a while ago and just wanted to come here for lunch during our stay I will admit that I was a little disappointed by the appearance of the place both in and out, as I thought it would be bigger and a bit more modern, but nevertheless we sat and ordered. The food is nice. It is also very nice because your plate is not overloaded with other things that it takes away the flavors of your order. The food is freshly cooked and is not fat or soggy. We also ordered milkshakes and good... so delicious it was a shame when we had finished them. Thank you for serving us your food is highly recommended."

"This place is awesome! We moved down to NC a couple years ago from MA. We missed good cheesesteaks and Monks appeared out of the clouds as if a sign to say 'we have your cheesesteaks, come to us ', so we did and haven 't stopped. Monks is our default go-to dinner option. The food is always consistently delicious. We typically get the cheesesteaks and fries, though the onion rings are pretty spot on as well. I recently decided I needed some veggies in my life and went for the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and I think marinaded in something (though I am sure you won 't tell us the secret recipe) and the veggies were super fresh. Last but certainly not least, the staff here is so welcoming and friendly. Every time I come, I enjoy my visit and conversation with Tito and Javi. It is a family owned business and it feels like everyone that goes in is treated like we are part of the big and growing family."
