"There are several things that make this a special place besides the food. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. You can't help but get into the banging of the mallets and celebrations. It's good to have hand cleaning facilities close to the tables because even the neatest eaters need them. It's a little pricey, but well worth it."

"jubileee dinner. first visit. had reservation. saw in the bartender recommended the seasonal seafood fondue. it was amazing and delicious. had Atlantic salmon with additional topping. had also mixed grill dinner. had cheerful cheesecake for dessert. had strawberry margarita and 2 beer. total bill was $170 with a generous tipp. it was worth it. will definitely be back because the great service, great tasting eating, and restaurant manager came and asked how our special dinner went. very nice experience."

"when they are well prepared for some delicious seafood. landry is a place they should try. they are a “chain” but they make them feel like the meal they prepare for them is especially. I ordered the reddish grilled and noticed the extra strokes they could add to the court. what I really wanted was the Melissa version, but with the white wine cream sauce. explained that with my server ronda and she was “no problem” and she went to my order. I also went for the iceberg wedge salad against the standard and it was great. the greens were fresh and crispy, while the blue cheese and the additions were well prepared and tasteful. the reddish was perfectly prepared, moist and bursting with aromen. without the Melissa Add-on! I decided to mix the melissa white wine cream sauce in my rice, for what has proven to be an extraordinary taste. at the end, it was all gone, but a memory in my full booze! very recommend this plate. I was impressed. the service was excellent and ronda took care of me and made sure I had everything I needed."

"How many times have you heard of restaurants with fabulous reputations and buzz that do not live up to either? Neither is the case at Cochon. From the moment we arrived until we left, greeters and servers were perfectly attentive and hospitality driven. Great suggestions on ordering, perfect timing of the courses and in the end an excellent value. Split the beet salad with my date. Then shared multiple small plates and sides including greens, mac and cheese, pork cheeks, fried alligator and pork ribs. It was a perfect meal."

"We ordered the crawfish beignets (appetizer) and the chicken and biscuits for my entree. The beignets needed more seasoning. My chicken and biscuits needed more gravy. The food was not hot. My side of potatoes were overcooked and lukewarm. The only good thing was my frozen mimosa."

"Excellent experience! The best restaurant experience in the Peoria area I've had. Better or equally compared to Hells Kitchen in Las Vagas! Very delicious dishes all around. My entire party was more than happy. The entire staff was great and all of them were smiling and worked very well as a team. "We were visiting Covington for a friend's funeral. After a long 6 hour drive from Houston we ate dinner at Don's. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My husband and I split the catfish dinner and had some left over to take back to our hotel which we ate for lunch the next day. My Blood Orange Margarita was outstanding! I wish I could remember our server's name, because she was just delightful. She always had a huge smile on her face and was very attentive. I don't know when we will visit the area again, but if we do we will definitely eat there again!"

"Food was excellent! I had the crab-au-grain with the twice baked potato. Wife had the grilled salmon and sweet potato casserole, my son had the Cajun ravioli. We also had the black alligator (make great! and seafood spinach diving. All were excellent. I?d the spinach tip of all the foods listed above. I personally had better spinach dip, but that doesn't mean it wasn't good. I personally prefer only my Spinat Dip or Artichoke Dip to contain a sharper cheese taste like adding parmesan cheese with a hint of garlic. How and why 5 stars? At first our waiter was excellent and cordial. He even offered recommendations. Next I read reviews before ordering. So we decided to avoid foods that are numerous bad reviews like the oysters and seafood plated. We travelled and it is our first time in Louisiana and did not want it with bad food experience if avoidable. We're glad we took the Gamble! Finally, we deliberately ordered things that went beyond what was normal for us. Less expectations in finding something new, more to discover and appreciate without massive comparison."

"Upon arrival they didn't have our reservation so we were given the next available table which was on the first floor. The ambiance wasn't very welcoming dirty and notcleared tables everywhere, the place itself seemed very dirty I found it rather disgusting. The food is ONLY for those who like fish or seafood for all others there are not many options and the options chosen were totally untasteful. Service was very poor, too"

"Touring Louisiana from west of the Rockies. Never ate Southern, Creole or Cajun. Heard good things about Don's so I tried it for lunch. Ordered things I never had before. First off, my waitress Savannah was great! Very personable and friendly. She patiently explained the foods that I could barely pronounce. lol I had the Boudin Balls appetizer and they were great. Their sauce had just the right amount of bite. Then the 1/2 catfish, 1/2 shrimp. Had the catfish blacked, a first for me. I subbed the French fries for the sweet potato casserole. OMG, that was amazing. If you go, ask for Savannah, she's a sweetheart!"

Looks like a good time atmosphere. I tried many foods and was blown away with the bounty filled pork chop. All food mouth water ducks are a must. I loved it!"
