Everyone is incredibly nice even though we came close to closing (lol sorry they were still accommodating and welcoming (we left like 10 minutes after closing don’t worry! We honestly ordered way too much food (as usual lol but highly recommend the sashimi platter which was only $30 which I thought was a great deal for the large cuts of fish. I loved the fireball roll you can never go wrong with a deep fried roll. The MK roll is the same you can’t go wrong with a cucumber wrapped roll. I highly recommend the heart attack which is my personal favorite at any Japanese restaurant is the deep fried jalapeños! This place is perfection and is so underrated. Definitely check it out, they have a Fort Worth location too!"

"Two friends put me on to this place for lunch. A small restaurant walking distance from Brighams. Walking in I saw many people from different backgrounds that made me feel good and comfortable. That day I tried Papusa for the first time. It was really good. Filled with bean and cheese. A coleslaw and savory dressing/sauce. There are menus to take and a big one on the wall with pictures of the dishes. We had horchata and a papaya smoothie. I will be back. Curious about other dishes."

We live in Mexico and Texas and know good quality, fresh and delicious food when we randomly find it. We have eaten in the finest to the street vendors giving many chances and until today had yet to find a restaurant we all agree ? in San Antonio. This is our new spot ?When we pulled in the parking lot I noticed how clean and cute the block building is. The dining room is cozy, comfy and has a coastal vibe. The restrooms were super clean (says EVERYTHING! We met Paola when ordering and she answered all of our questions and explained every dish we inquired about. Super friendly lady! We had yummy tostadas and salsa while we waited. I ordered fresh squeezed lemonade, grilled shrimp with black beans and side salad ? (salad was fresh the best! . The shrimp was seasoned perfect sooooooo good. My husband had tacos that were so good he inhaled them. Ha! Our son had the pazole which had fresh chopped veggies on top. He said it was amazing! The portion size is perfect!! I can go on and on but if you are still reading the longest, most satisfying review I've ever taken time to leave, well I hope you enjoy and support this fantastic little restaurant. "Pizza review below. Disregard if you really just need to get your fill. Also keep in mind this doesn?t mean apply to their whole menu! The rest of their dishes might be very different. First off, great management and service. Super nice people. But thepizza was not traditional (neither NY, neapolitan, chicago, etc. and tasted like a typical chain pizza, which surprised me fora restaurant with ?italian cafe pizza? in the name. I ordered a standard cheese pizza, medium. Didn?t taste super fresh,especially the sauce and dough. The sauce is pretty sweet (not tomato sweet, like sugary sweet and has this bitter/old oreganotaste that?s off-putting. Dough also tastes frozen and is dense and crumby like dry, old bread. I'd be open to trying otherthings from their menu, but don't think this will be my first choice the next time I want a slice."

"Stephanie was an excellent waitress! Very attentive, cheerful and knowledgeable about specials. Pickle and onion ring apps were decent. Burger with mushrooms and swiss was awesome! Definitely reccomend okra as a side. Shrimp Monica was delicious as well. Overall very quick service even when the resturant filled up for lunch rush."

"Had lunch today over at Epicure Cafe, and had a Smoked Salmon Avocado Sandwich while my girlfriend had a Chicken Salad Sandwich along with a Ceaser Salad. My girlfriend grabbed a slice of Pastaccio Raspberry Cake and also a slice of Strawberry Napoleon Cake, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Friendly service and a nice relaxing atmosphere. "This restaurant has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I called thirty minutes before closing and was put on hold for ten minutes, only to be told by the woman on the line that they don't take phone orders within twenty minutes of closing. I reminded her that she had kept me waiting for ten minutes and that I had called within their timeframe. She then mentioned she would need to check with her manager. When she came back, the manager said no initially, but then the woman informed me it depended on how far away I was. I told her I was a maximum of fifteen minutes away and that it seemed pointless for her to keep going back and forth to ask her manager. Eventually, I asked her how long it typically takes to fulfill an order if I had called earlier, and she said fifteen minutes. It’s clear that they don’t prioritize decent customer service here. If I could give negative stars, I would. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was disappointing. Save your time and look elsewhere."

"The food was so good! The nachos had so much on them that I ate it for 3 days. Raves about the burger too. Our waitress was just the sweetest and took very good care of us. "Our first time eating here and it was mediocre. I've had better Hawaiian food before. The Katsu chicken was a little squishy and not crunchy enough. The California rolls weren't even rolls they look like smushed sandwiches. The chow mein was alright but not getting it again. The only thing that was good was the spam musubi. Too pricey for the quality... All in all not bad but not great either."
