"While there are seats for dining in, you place your order at the front counter, and then they bring your food to your table. Each dish is prepared fresh to order, making the 20-minute wait well worth it. I had the pasta with steak, and I can’t emphasize enough how flavorful both the pasta and steak were! The portion was huge—enough to serve three people—so I definitely couldn’t finish it all. The accompanying bread was also delicious, reminiscent of Olive Garden’s breadsticks but with a cheesy crust and rich flavor that I really enjoyed.
I also tried their Playa Punch, a refreshing blend of juices mixed with real fruit, which tasted fresh and delightful. One of the owners stopped by to check on my meal, and that’s when I discovered they’ve been in business for a year. If you’re a fan of soul food or just great home-cooked meals, you should definitely give this place a try. There are no frills, just fantastic food served by a wonderfully friendly staff."
