"POOR MANAGEMENT AND TERRIBLE FOOD PORTIONS FOR BEING CHARGED OVER $30. We ordered a combination plate of S P Catfish Popcorn Shrimp with Baked Potato, a Children 's Popcorn Shrimp with Mac 'n Cheese, and a side of broiled scallops. My husband got a small portion of Shrimp with his catfish, he only received TWO (2) HUSHPUPPIES, AND NO SALAD THAT HAS ALWAYS CAME WITH COMBINATION PLATES. My children 's Popcorn Shrimp plate only had 4 hushpuppies. My side of BROILED SCALLOPS WAS COLD AND WAS ONLY 4 SCALLOPS (Which the manager justified because they only charged us for fried SCALLOPS instead of broiled). WE WERE NOT offered any type of compensation of any sorts for what we were shorted. AS A MATTER OF FACT, WHAT SHE SAID WAS WE HAVE A SIGN THAT SAYS NO REFUNDS. I DIDN 'T ASK FOR ANY REFUNDS AT ALL, Just to have it made right on our possible return visit.... SHE SAID ABSOLUTELY NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM... I TOLD HER WE WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THE CAPTAIN 'S GALLEY EVER AGAIN, AFTER PROBABLY 20+ YEARS OF PATRONAGE, AND WE WILL BE SURE TO LET EVERYONE WHO WE KNOW, JUST HOW THEY DON 'T VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS NOWQ. SO IF YOU READ THIS, MAKE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORD SO NOONE ELSE GETS DISRESPECTED THIS WAY TOO... When orders were placed before new management changes, you always received endless BOWLS OF HUSHPUPPIES. Now, you don 't get enough to cover the bottom of the bowl.... When I asked the lady who said she was a manager, if she was not gonna do anything to make their shortcomings correct for us, SHE MADE IT CLEAR THAT WAS NOT THEIR POLICY..... THEY DON 'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT US COMING THROUGH THOSE DOORS AGAIN..."

"Our New Years Eve dinner started at 8:45 and ended at 11:45 because we had to get up abruptly. The food was slow getting to the table, and even for a 5 course meal, 3 hour is too much for dinner. The first course, the oyster, was served in a bed of salt without any warning and in a semi dark restaurant we could not tell that it was salt. My son got sick on the first bite and only could try one more dish before going to the restroom. The food not really what we expected, the lobster bisque was salty, and the rest of the dishes didnt seemed very special to us. Liked the dessert, yes, but couldnt eat it all because we wanted to go see the fireworks. About the fireworks, we requested specifically when we reserved that we wanted to see them. The hotel told us, when we checked in, we could do that at the terrace, that it was included in our expensive 5 course meal. Well, we left for the terrace and a very crancky lady told us we needed another bracelet to get in (another one on top of the hotel bracelet). We went back inside and they gave us another one but the lady didnt want that either to let us in, Had to come a young and decent manager to fix our entrance BUT IT WAS TOO LATE: The 12 O clock of the new year happened in the middle of the situation. WE ended up unhappy, disgusted, frustrated. We checked out the next morning feeling that this expensive dinner and expensive night werent woth it. Even the table they put us in had a limp!!! And we thought it was going to be a memorable dinner... Sorry if this review hurt somebodys feeling, but is OUR truth for our New Years Eve dinner at Toro Toro."

"To our delight, our dinner arrived earlier than expected, which is not something we often encounter at other restaurants. I absolutely loved the flavors of the food at Valley Indian Bistro. We ordered a variety of dishes, and each one had its own unique taste, which I really appreciated. At the end of the meal, Shankar treated us to desserts on the house. Even though we were full, we simply couldn't resist trying them. This restaurant is one of the best spots for authentic Indian cuisine in Yonkers. The food is delicious, and the ambiance is excellent. Shankar, our manager and server, was incredibly friendly, efficient, and always served with a professional smile. If you're looking for delivery, just give them a call, and they deliver right on time! Overall, the food is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. As an American, I truly appreciate the authenticity and healthiness of the dishes—not drowning in excess oil like many other places. You won’t be disappointed; your stomach will be happy, and your wallet will remain intact, as the prices are very low for such fantastic food. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, especially for their weekday and weekend lunch buffet, which offers a wide variety at an unbeatable price compared to any other place in Westchester County. Whether you're a fan of Indian cuisine or looking to try it for the first time, I guarantee you will not be disappointed! 100% satisfaction is guaranteed!"
