"Stopped for a late bite and a drink and it was great. Perfect night for alfresco dining. Started off with potato skins got 4 nice pieces. We also shared Mac/cheese bits which were very tasty. I also ordered child/senior fish chips which was delicious. My wife's margarita was very good and my beers were nice cold. Have stopped here several times and have always enjoyed ourselves. Service has always been good.... not great...... and tonight was no different. Nothing fancy just a nice local restaurant. Update; 4/28/17 Perfect night for alfresco dining so my wife selected Someplace Special especially because I have enjoyed their Fish Chips. Food was very good again (Fish Chips and Chicken Alfredo) but service was just ok. Really wished waitress had come back more frequently to get my wife another glass of wine and for more napkins. By the way. It has nice little bar but don't expect sports on the 3 Tv's. The Bartender.... same guy every time I have visited must not like sports. Always cooking shows. Also strange, the other restaurants in downtown Putnam almost always have waits for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night. Not Someplace Special. You can always get a table. It's just not as popular. I guess it just lacks that extra something to move it to next level."

"Today, my hubby and I decided to give this diner an attempt, I am a Philly Cheese Steak Afficianado and I was not disappointed. Our super waitress was great to get this fabulous sandwich and pommes so I could eat it for breakfast while my Nabeby had its short stack of pancakes so high and delicious excellent spicy sausage and one side of eggs. He jumped over the sausage and we learned that it came from a farm in Mississippi where it is made for them from farm to table!! What a great taste! But I was in ecstasy with my sandwich. Prepared with onions, paprika and steak on a warm rolls with one side of a dill picker with frits. Everyone bites better than the next. We'll be back for my husband spied her garbage buckets with a lid breakfast that he has to try!!"

"Went early on a Saturday because I guess I'm a degenerate. Food was good, nice selection of beers, including a few brewed right in house, which the one I tried was good. Staff was friendly and attentive. Pool table inside. There's an outdoor area that I did not go to but supposedly has activities to accompany drinking."

"The food here is outstanding, but the owner's constant ailments can be a bit much. She often shares details about her health issues and personal dramas with every customer, and it gets tiresome to listen to while trying to enjoy a meal. Her hypochondria could drive away business if she doesn’t reel it in. On a positive note, the chefs are truly talented—the baked tenderloins and cheeseburgers are among the best I’ve ever had. I really wish they would reopen for dinner; it feels like a waste during the summer!"
