"Our anniversary dinner experience was not the best. My partner's steak was sent back twice for being overcooked, and the service was slow, especially for a Saturday at 4 pm. While every restaurant has its good and bad days, we felt that for $300 including tip, the restaurant did not justify the price based on the quality of food and service we received."

"Very upset. We've lived near Mooresville for two years and have never come here. What a waste!! Eight of us came here. All had different things, all were delicious. Bread was superb, soup fantastic and the lemon chicken was so very good. Our waiter was wonderful. The only thing that was below our expectations was the price. For the food and service, we would have expected another $20 at least. Will need to return soon to try some of the other wonderful dishes our friends had!"

"This dinner is part of Hastings history. The atmosphere is great. Marble floors tables and walls. The food was great, and grapefruit juice was fresh. Seinfield and Hasan Minhaje were there for shooting a show. The service was great. The lady who served us was very kind and attentive to our requests. You can walk into the dinner from the back where the parking lot is. It is meter park but you can park for free after 6 pm in the parking lot. "The lobster rolls at this restaurant are very generous in size. We decided to pair them with a side salad, which was also delicious and a good portion. Even though we don't live nearby, we always make a point to come back to this place whenever we are in town just for their delicious lobster rolls."

"My wife and I went during restaurant week at the recommendation of some friends of ours. This place did not disappoint. We’re always looking for new cuisine to try and this Croatian restaurant provided us something we haven’t tried before. For the appetizer I had The pork and beef risotto, which was some of the best I’ve ever had. My wife had the butternut squash soup, which she said was also stellar. For the entrees we had the Sarma, which was also phenomenal. I’m not a big dessert guy so my wife had the desserts which she said were good as well. Ambience is very lively, yet cozy. Parking is difficult, but I believe they offer a valet service to make up for that. Overall a great experience. We’ll definitely be back again."

"This was an anniversary celebration which was noted when making the reservation. However, none of the staff acknowledged this special event. Our entrees were served lukewarm, and one steak was well-done despite being ordered as medium-well. The flowers on the table were beyond needing to be thrown out. While the waiter was very pleasant and efficient, his attention was almost too excessive. The pecan pie was lost in all the fruit frills added to it. The setting was charming and the food was near satisfactory. But overall, it was a disappointing evening. Most likely we will not visit again."

"I visited this restaurant for a cozy brunch on a snowy day after we couldn't enjoy our coffee at Samuel's Sweet Shop. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delightful! The farmer's omelet was light and fluffy, not greasy at all. The potatoes, which I usually prefer as crispy cubes, were served in a thin, overly fried style typical of the north; however, they were still tasty and buttery. The blueberry pancakes were also fluffy and sweet. I would definitely come back if I were in the area. It's a great, budget-friendly option."
