"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED On Friday, February 7th, I dined with friends at Bravo Nader. Snagged a space nearly in front of the restaurant, a Huntington first. If you are not as lucky, I 'm not talking about the Stop Shop parking lot. Bravo Nader is rather small. Its cozy decor is soothing to a tired commuter. The restaurant seats us promptly. Our female server rolls the luscious specials off her tongue (very expertly! and we are off! I begin with the Baked Oysters, a special. Simply the best version I 've had. Spinach, sesame seeds, a heating spice and very fresh oysters. Yummo! My companions raved about every app, including Crab Cakes, Clams Posillipo, Eggplant Rollatini and the Cold Antipasto. Entrees and pastas? Encore, baby. My Duck with Chestnut Sauce was perfectly cooked. Beautifully crisped skin and moist meat. The freshly made Gnocchi quickened our group 's applause. The Spaghetti Carbonara made the beautiful lady to my left (our host gasp in delight and whisper sweet hymns to its smokiness. The Pappadelle with Eggplant was a large portion and fabulously seasoned. Our group enjoyed the Flan and the owner 's legendary Napoleon, which came gratis. In fact, Mr. Gebrin delighted us with his witty banter and all around helpfulness. He was a most gracious host, easing us through the check settling process and serving me Affogato, a dessert that was not on the menu. Indeed, the whole staff here was pleasant and helpful.Because of that, I arranged an event for my dining group immediately after dinner. Our group departed happily, satiated by great company and great food. BOTTOM LINE: For perfectly executed dishes and a creative vision which distinguishes this restaurant from others, I say Bravo Nader!!!!!!!"
