"I was athos several times and was looking forward to it. I was disappointed by our worshippers. they both felt they were bland and lacked the normal taste. also lacked the long-term, which in any case remembered frozen bagged vegetables. the highlight of the meal was the hummus pita appetizer. I know that the restaurant changes the hands, so hopefully this was just a swallow in the transition. I would give them a further chance. the service was excellent as always."

"I was visiting Washington a few weeks ago and ate the Parthenon. We were seated outside on a covered patio on a nice cool evening. For appetizers we the Saganaki Flambe and the Manitaria Gemista (mushroom stuffed with crab). Both were delicious. In addition, we had three shots of Ouzo to celebrate our upcoming Greek main courses. In between the meals one of the owners Mike came over and had a long conversation about the history of the restaurant and the food. There were three of us and for the main course I ordered the Broiled Pork Chops with potatoes and vegetables, my friend ordered the Glosa Gemisti with Crab Meat and vegetables, (stuffed Flounder), our third person had a Greek salad. As you can see by the pictures the portions were generous. The food was delicious, and the service was out of this world. There was the metered street parking, and this restaurant is dog friendly on the outside patio section. So, when in the Chevy Chase area and looking an authentic Greek restaurant for lunch or dinner the Parthenon is the place to go."

"My husband and I had a wonderful visit for dinner at The Great Greek Restaurant in Sherman Oaks on June 18, 2023. The hostess, Oriana and our waiter, Peter, and other staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. The restaurant was fun and festive with live Greek music performed by very talented musicians, Gerasimo and Dobren. We started off with a Tarama, a favorite Greek caviar dip with grilled pita bread which was simply outstanding. They state that “Our centuries-old recipe is among the world 's best” and I absolutely agree as I have ordered it in many Greek restaurants across the United States. We then enjoyed a crunchy and flavorful Peasant Chopped Salad with chopped romaine lettuce, lots of wonderful feta cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, bell peppers, red onions, red and green peppers and a Greek vinaigrette. My husband ordered the delicious Moussaka, with baked eggplant, ground beef, Greek spices and bechamel sauce. Wanting to sample many dishes off of the huge menu, I ordered the Combination Plate which featured House specialties on a large platter- pastitsio pasta, moussaka, stuffed grape leaves, spinach cheese pie spanakopita , lamb of the day, oven-roasted potato, rice pilaf, and the vegetable of the day. It was incredible and I had lots to take home with us and so did my husband. We saw many other dishes we wanted to try next time. We enjoyed reading the history of the restaurant and its artwork which included fascinating political posters and more. The valet service was so convenient and one gentleman had worked there since 1984 and was very nice. We HIGHLY recommend a visit to The Great Greek with family and friends! They won’t let you leave hungry!"

"The place is nice, all white and has quite a crowd, mostly older adults, it is not suitable for children, it does not have options for them or anything that is attractive to them, although we asked for the recommendation, the little ones did not like it . In the photos the pieces look larger, because in the menu they give you, there are no images, only the name with the detail and if you have never been before, it is something to guess, there was a bad Internet signal inside so no. It was not easy to look for reference images. Lamb with some noodles which was nice. The lamb with fine herbs and potatoes with pods and tomato also had a pleasant flavor. But the triple that came with meat (homemade hamburger with onion, parsley and ground beef) of small size, with grilled lamb and grilled chicken, they were chicken skewers, it was average, the meat was a homemade hamburger that did not conform to the American style or to the custom of children. The drinks menu only had wines, there are other liquors but there is no detail on the menu, the truth is that it was good to know but I would not return."

"Very disappointed at this place. I actually left hungry. My family and I are Greek so we were expecting authentic Greek food as the website suggests. My go to dish is always moussaka and this the first time I didn 't even finish 1/4 of it, I had one bite and pushed it aside. There was no flavour at all in the meat, it was completely bland. I got a side of green beans and they were also bland. My family did enjoy their pasta dishes which I tried a bit and those were a actually seasoned well and had spices. The service was very, very slow. I was even waiting for my waitress to come back after we had recieved our dinner so I can ask for something else as the moussaka was completely bland. She never came back untill my family was finished their plates so at that point asking for a new dish was pointless. All I ate was some green beans and lemon potatoes. Was even more disappointed as this is my birthday trip. I was afraid to even order dessert since my dish didn 't taste seasoned. Out of my whole meal, including my drink I only enjoyed the lemon potatoes. It was obvious I didn 't touch my moussaka besides trying a bite and all I was asked was if I wanted a box to take home. The waitress we had also didn 't know the difference between greek mazithra and Parmesan cheese. We asked for extra mazithra and then I overheard her asking a coworker for extra Parmesan. When it came it was indeed parmesan cheese and she said I didn 't know there was a difference after we asked again for mazithra. Overall my family enjoyed their food, but the lack of customer service made me not able to order anything else so I left hungry."

"I make a point to come to Big Tommy's every time I'm in town. They have authentic Greek food, just like my mom makes. Be sure to try the Avgolemono (lemon chicken rice soup, it is phenomenal! Also, my husband enjoys the Sunday brunch buffet breakfast meats, omelette station, pastries, fruits, salad, Greek specialties, and countless other items. Seriously a GREAT deal for under $15. Wish they would open a location in Milwaukee. (Hint, hint!"

"One of Columbus' best restaurants. The food is great. The atmosphere is family friendly, casual, but nice. The night we were there, one employee worked the house and two or three worked the kitchen. Despite the lack of personnel, service was prompt and friendly. The one house worker also handled all calls, all pick-up orders, and all walk-ins placing to-go orders. The kitchen staff had no problem keeping up.We enjoyed the appetizers of olives with feta, and the fried calamari. Our entrees were the seafood trio and the salmon. Both were excellent. If you've not had Greek wines, they offer several reds and several whites. They deserve sampling. Greek whites, especially, have more robust qualities than wines grown in cooler climates."

"Athena was recommended as the place to go in Chicago?s Greektown, and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere and overall vibe were outstanding. "I love Greek food here. My friend and I decided to eat here. It is not our first time because we have visited this place last year when I am right and we love her Greek chicken that I can remember the first time, I eat and the chicken is so delicate, well cooked and it is so good. Also the place has not changed, it is still the same clean and cozy place and the staff are still nice and friendly. There are many options on their menu, but and I have still decided to order their Greek chicken dinner and my friend ordered the Gyro dinner. Service is pretty fast as expected. The food really makes me hungry, just through the eyes of it. Both orders have an amazingly large part. I seriously believe that a record can fit for two people. I was able to finish mine, the chicken has a huge part and it is still the same delicate and tasty chicken as what I had before. My friend also enjoyed and loved her food. This place has never disappointed us, and we or I will definitely be safe again. Very recommended!"

"I’ve been coming Yanni’s ever since I was a kid, and let me just tell you, this place has the absolute best gyros in the state. Everything from the succulent spiced lamb, to the fresh and zesty tzatziki sauce, to the soft and pillowy pita bread. Don’t even get me started on the dolmathes and the spanakopita. Nothing short of nirvana. I honestly can’t tell you how the burgers and fries are because I can’t stray from my favorite Greek classics. But my kiddo seems to enjoy them immensely. I am definitely a loyal Yanni’s customer for life!"
