"We made a reservation and arrived on time, but no one acknowledged us. Finally, the manager looked at us and asked if we were waiting for a table. After waiting for 20 more minutes and at least six different staff members passing by us, we decided to leave. We never had the opportunity to taste the food, and we would not return due to the poor experience."

"The pictures online honestly don't do this place justice. A very cozy and cute spot. Great for a date night or girls night out. Cute bar when you come in but it is tiny so I would come early. The bartender and staff here are so friendly and accommodating. Service is on point here. Our waitress knew the menu very well. Came here with my girlfriends for an easy night out and tried their restaurant week menu. Unlike some places, here they do not skimp just because you are ordering for restaurant week. My girlfriends tried the wine pairing that was offered with the menu and loved it. The choices went perfectly with their meals and we are trying to find the dessert wine they offered! Sweet and refreshing. My only deductions are that I thought some things were just a little under seasoned but it was just me. I had the pear pecorino salad and I felt as if it needed either a little more pear to cut the bitterness of the salad or maybe some gorgonzola. The meatballs were great. The veal to me needed just a little bit more seasoning but aside from that was good. And each and every one of the desserts was delicious!! I would highly recommend coming here."

"First of all, the house dressing? UNBELIEVABLY GOOD. And I’ve never eaten anything from this place that wasn’t delicious (and I’ve been going for 10+ years). But I’m writing this review because of how well they handled my partner’s allergy. We often have problems when placing orders because we emphasize that he has an allergy to milk (not lactose intolerance, an actual allergy), and when we get they meal, 70% of the time they still gave us the milk/cheese. I wish I got her name, but the woman on the phone was so knowledgeable about the ingredients used and took so much care with double making sure with the cook in the back for what he used when we arrived to pick up the order. "In my view, this establishment is definitely a couple of notches above the 'diner ' category considering the exceptional consistent quality of the meals, reasonable value from a pricing perspective the great service it offers. I can tell that all the ingredients for a majority of the dishes here are curated and freshly prepared. Each dish has that 'lively ' and 'enriching ' taste to it. Among the best dishes are the guacamole with chips, Athenian omelette, Mexicali chicken and the Brooklyn panini. While a bit condensed in space, the atmosphere is cozy and more than accommodating for a wide array of patrons, from medium sized parties to couples and families. Speaking of which, I would like to point out that the vast majority of the clientele at George 's Diner is family oriented and I am stating this in a very good way because they uphold a traditional, reserved and humble demeanor while dining at this place. In other words, I have never experienced any patrons tables that were noisy or rowdy in my years of dining here. Moreover, the service is well above average Delilah the waitress, Doreena the hostess, and the owner seems to always ensure that the patrons are satisfied. Overall, I could not be happier with this diner and will return here on a frequent basis."

"We were in the city of NYC for a few nights. We ordered from a few local places, and our best experience was with Frank 's. We didn't know what was good, so we ordered some items in the first night. After a not so great experience that was ordered by a local diner for breakfast, we went back with Frank's in the second night. My children who are super picky have torn off the pizza and chicken fingers. The salads were fresh and delicious, and the portions were very generous. Hoagies also get a thumb. I was surprised that the Fried Shrimp Platter was basically popcorn shrimp, but my son ate it so that a thumb also gets. My daughter loved her spaghetti and meatballs. Overall delicious and comfortable."

"We've been coming here for years and the entrees were great as usual. The lamb chops and chicken with creamy garlic sauce are recommended. The apple pie was the only downer. The filling has too much of a chemical taste and definitely from a can versus fresh apples."

"Their pizza is amazing, it’s so flavorful and not dry at all. They are very fair with the toppings. Best pizza ever!Also the staff is great. I order through DoorDash and had a special request and they called me to let me know that they did it. I wasn’t sure if they were going to be able to do it but they did. I was soo soo soo happy!"

"My husband and I have been ordering Lucas pizza for years. The quality is always top notch. I just wanted to share a quick story about tonight. I went to pick up my pizza and upon arriving realized I had ordered the completely wrong thing. Not only did they fix it in a timely manner, they couldn’t have been nicer about it. "This is a wonderful old San Francisco treat. I had not had a Ramos fizz for 30 years and the rolls they start you with are spectacular. We had a wonderful outside table and everyone in my party of 4 loved their food. The jellied donuts were a wonderful dessert. We will definitely return."

"It was hot!!! The manager stated in his heavy accent, there is nothing I can do except move us to another table? $300 for a dinner and being so hot I had to fan myself is not cool, pun intended. We went early for happy hour and was told that it is only available in the bar but was not posted on their website. We did not want the bar atmosphere so we asked if we could order a pizza from the happy hour menu (cuz it was not on the regular menu) at the regular price to be told NO! The manager is strict and does not make exceptions. So confusing because we wanted a pizza they make and was willing to pay regular pricing??? WTH? Ran out of oil and bread and only bread was brought back, had to ask for oil. The scallops were under cooked. The Risotto special hardly had any lemon flavor, had to ask for a lemon wedge and received a weirdly cut shape half of a lemon that had tons of seeds. Had to ask for each special, was not offered nor was she clear on what they were. I could go on about the server but maybe something bad happened to her and she was not on her A game. She did get me a side a veges added to my meal, very nice of her. They did come sing happy birthday (that was awesome) but the cannoli was horrible. The drinks were amazing! But will not go back."

"Service is absolute garbage. Place is near my house and one of the few restaurants delivered in the pandemic. Of course I ordered them regularly. You made little mistakes before, but nothing I couldn't handle, so I let it slip. But after this day I will not eat there anymore. How do you make a salad? How can you forget any vegetables that should be included with salad BUT of salad? And in addition, if you are aware of this error, how is the answer not as easy as we replace it. Instead, I was given the feeling that the mistake was MY FAULT, and even at worst I was told that I could go back there to get the missing vegetables... Lol. I should leave a SECOND time to get the veggies you forgot. Okay, don't worry. No more spending my money where it's not worth it. I will find a new family restaurant with much better service. But if you eat here, check your food first. Trust me, they have to screw something up. Smh."

"I'm surprised by some of the bad reviews, but at the same time, I get it. It's not as horrible as some other reviewers have stated, but it's decent enough. The portions of all the food that was ordered were great. The prices were great. The taste was just decent. Decent enough. But if you take into consideration the portion, the price, and the quality. It isn't a bad spot to grab a quick meal. If I'm in the area, I would stop by again. It wouldn't be my #1 choice, but I would stop by again."
