"I 've dined-in here a few times before the pandemic began. The service was ok. The food was good. They got dim sum carts which is almost always an indicator for good dim sum. I remember my first impression here was good Cantonese food and a bit pricey. Then COVID-19 hit, I stopped indoor dining for over a year and this was one of the places I missed. I had two takeouts from East Harbor this year. One was several months ago and the second time was just yesterday. Each time we got decent portions and enough leftovers for the next day. Overall, the food was as good as I remembered from dine-in. For yesterday 's take out, hubby I ordered 3 dishes and 3 dim sums. I don 't remember the full names for all of the dishes, though I think most were just named by their main ingredients? The three main dishes were lotus roots stir fry ???? , cod fillet fillets were fried first and then tossed into a stir fry? , and stir fry clams ????? . The three dim sums were shumai ?? , chicken feet ?? , and steamed ribs ??? . I love dim sum, though that clam dish was the bomb to me. The dish with cod fillets, in comparison to other dishes, seemed bland. The free pot stickers were also kind of bland, but they were free and we were given 3 choices: pot stickers, crab puffs, and egg rolls. Next time we 'll choose the crab puffs. We ordered everything in-person as it was a last minute decision to get takeout, and food was ready in 15 minutes. The only real downside of having food from here is this restaurant never included rice when ordering main dishes, which is actually the norm at restaurants in Hong Kong and Taiwan. Rice were extra, or at least that 's how I remembered from my visits. We made our own rice at home to eat with the take out ?."

"A couple coworkers and I walked down to get lunch on our break and fully enjoyed ourselves. There weren't many staff members on the floor, which wouldn't have normally been an issue if a particularly high-demand table hadn't been requesting all their attention. When we were able to order it didn't take long to get our food, which was absolutely delicious. The lunch combo offered a few options, from which I chose the red curry and garlic pork (pictured). Said combo also came with a salad (pictured) that had some of the unexpectedly most pleasant and unique dressing I've tasted in a quite a while (it tasted like a blend of mango and chile, akin to a sliced mango from a street cart). While the flavors of the curry were good and standard to what is expected from a red curry, I felt it was slightly overloaded with vegetables to the extent that I couldn't easily get my spoon into the bowl to enjoy it (some people might consider this a bonus, but I don't order curry expecting to hack through a dense veggie thicket with my spoon). The garlic pork was phenomenal and I don't have words to do it justice. The thai tea was deliciously standard. I'll definitely go again if I'm in the neighborhood and feeling Thai. TLDR; Delicious food. Could be understaffed. Ordered lunch combo w/ red curry and garlic pork. Great dressing on side salad. Too many veggies in curry. Amazing garlic pork. Would recommend."

"We made reservations and had a group dinner with 6 of my friends and we had a great time! An awesome find in Pasadena. : AMBIANCE: Great place for a date, family or small groups. SEATING: Plenty of tables for small and big groups. SERVICE: Good. Very attentive staff that would check on us and refill our waters. I was surprised that they didn't try to kick us out and let us take our time during our dinner. TAPAS: -Shrimp Donut (ground shrimp coated with panko served with mango alioli : good -Crying Tiger (filet mignon marinated with thai chipotle : good, nice flavor -Five Spice Bao (flour bun stuffed with five-spice duck meat served with hoisin sauce : OK, there wasn't that much meat and a lot of bun. FYI, only 2 pieces. ENTREES/NOODLES (FYI, they make a lot of dishes spicy and no adjustments : -Yellow Curry with Chicken (chicken or shrimp or scallop with fingering potato and caramelized onion : Very tasty! -Beef Brisket Panang (12 hour brisket with panang curry : AMAZING! I loved the flavor and the beef was so tender! -Pad Z-Ew with Shrimp (chicken or brisket or shrimp or scallop with pan fried rice noodles with soy sauce, egg gailan : I'm a big fan of pad see ew and they got it down just right. PARKING: They have plenty of spaces in the plaza, but you may have to park on the street on busy nights. Plenty of free parking around the area. I would recommend checking this place out if you like Thai food and tapas. I will be back!"
