"July 28, 2023, I walked from the White House and was seated right away and given water.i appreciated that. I was given the menu. A little pricey for my budget, so I ordered alacart. I purchased fried chicken breast $12, a bowl of dirty rice $10, and a bowl of collards $10. A basket with three cornbread sticks were placed on the table. Wasn't tasty at all. After chewing, it felt like no flavored crumbles, not moist. The fried chicken breast was very good. Nice and crispy with flavor. The dirty rice was overcooked and really taste like no seasoning was added, despite bits if sausage and onions. The collards had a hint of sweetness, in which I do not care for sweet or sour greens. I told my waitress that I'd like to replace those for mac n cheese and sweet potato mash. Sounding irritated, she asked what was wrong with the food. Told her I didn't like it. She brought replacements and Mac n cheese tasted sour, so two bites of it, I added black pepper and ate it. The sweet potato mash had a dark syrup taste, almost a burnt taste and I did not eat it. I did drink Sprite. I got the bill for $46.20. I did not like the forced 20% gratuity as a solo guest. Got back to hotel that evening and started having stomach cramps. Was up throughout out the night. Possibly, the Mac n cheese was sour. Tore my stomach up. Will not eat there again."
