"I was very excited to try out Mida after hearing such good things and reading so many over the top reviews. I have to wonder if I accidentally went to the wrong restaurant. The place I went to was overly expensive, overly rushed, and underwhelming otherwise.We went early at 5pm, and they were clearly trying to turn the table. We sat down, had drinks, bread, another tables salads that were accidentally served to us, starters, a meal, and dessert in approximately 30 minutes. We were asked if we wanted to clear the table while we still had salad and appetizers so they could serve the dishes, one of which defied all restaurant logic and was hardly even warm. I said yes because at this point, I was already annoyed, and their bland Caesar salad tasted like they forgot the Caesar.Their pizza was trash. Bland, flavorless, and forgettable. The braised pork taglatelle was cold watery mushroom soup with noodles, thought he pork was hot and delicious. The $28 braised short rib lasagna (should be half the price) was bland, dry, and had none of the melty cheese fun of a lasgna. Tasted like it was made yesterday and warmed up several times since.The real kick to the nuts was the non-optional hidden 2% Kitchen Appreciation line item in the receipt. Apparently they didnt care that I did not appreciate the kitchen. At the end of the night, this felt more like a scam than a relaxing cozy dinner.And yet, they are always packed... so what do I know?"
