"We went for Valentine’s dinner and had such a wonderful experience! Despite being very busy, the service was great and every single dish we had was phenomenal. Ambiance was perfect. This was by far the best Valentine’s date my husband and I have had. We started with the Mushroom Al Forno, the pesto sauce was such a pleasant and completely unexpected surprise. My husband ordered fettuccine Alfredo with chicken and I ordered Rigatoni alla vodka, added crumbled sausage. Normally I’d add pancetta but the menu was limited since it was Valentine’s Day. My goodness, you could taste the care that went into every recipe and sauce. So flavorful, everything tasted like beloved home recipes. Even the starter bread (which we gladly used as our “spoon” to scoop up extra sauce something we learned in Europe! was fantastic. Can’t forget to mention the soup that comes out before your entree sometimes these feel like an afterthought at restaurants but these were just as good as the main course. We finished off with some crème brûlée. It was creamy and custardy and had a strong and delicious vanilla flavor. It was clear that so much care, attention to detail and flavor, as well as using fresh, quality ingredients was put into every single thing at this restaurant. Well done, Chicago Prime. We have a new favorite restaurant and will certainly be back."
