"Was in the area looking to try something new after spending the day out with the family. Staff was welcoming and got us in without a reservation, they were not too busy. Unfortunately, the waitress failed to introduce herself and was unable to answer basic questions regarding featured menu items, and continually emphasized her lack of familiarity knowledge with menu items was because she was new, which was off putting began to feel like a repetitive excuse. It took quite a while for drinks alone to be served, and the bartender could be heard across the room asking where to find “Margarita” was it under “M”? The margarita was mediocre at best. Moscow mule was subpar. Caesar salad could have been dressed more, felt like plain dry lettuce with parm. Mashed potatoes were straight. Sautéed mushrooms were ok, have had better. Bistec was tender and had good flavor; however, the cook temp was inconsistent throughout. Some parts were closer to medium rare whilst others were textbook well done. Spaghetti with bolognese sauce was sent back as a moderate portion of noodles were found to be clumped together and far undercooked (inconsistent cooking of dry pasta). The best item this evening was the lobster linguini in a creamy saffron sauce. The pasta was cooked just past al dente, the sauce could’ve been a lil thicker, but it’s flavor was on point and the lobster was cooked perfectly, consistently tender throughout! If more consistent precision with steak cook temps, and pasta cooking techniques can be achieved, several of these dishes would’ve resulted in a higher overall score. Also, better training of novice staff would elevate the experience and atmosphere for all guests to better enjoy."
