"I would rate it 3.5 stars. Overall, I would say that eating is quite good, but the service is undefined. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and tried some kung pao huhn. Summary: at the end I don't want to come back and I wouldn't recommend this place because I have the feeling there are many better places. to start with the miso suppe and salat was delicious, I especially liked the salat. many paint miso suppe tastes just like salt water, but the suppe was actually delicious. the salat was also really delicious because the sosse was not only yuk yum, but something else, I feel like it probably had odours. the fork I had eaten looked completely new as I had to take off a piece of plastic, and a part of the spoon looked like a label had been peeled off. the second fork I got had a little serviette. after the suppe and the salate I quickly got, it took time to get the rest of the food. because the kung pao needed time, we had to ask twice to get the Bento box on it. we also asked for a fork and serviette, but our waitress never gave us. Instead we had to ask a passion waiter for her. the sushi and dumplings were really delicious, but the huh was okay. for me it felt that the chicken was not marinated or this tender, and the hawn himself tasted just blanching after my opinion. during the kung pao well tasted with the odours on it, the huh had no taste, but it was just hot. overall the location was quite modern and had a nice view, but eating seemed a little expensive for the amount. that can only be the place. at the end I don't want to come back and I wouldn't recommend this place because I feel there are many better places."

"This is an interesting place in the middle of a residential neighborhood a couple of blocks from King Street. I 've been to old town a bunch of times and never would 've found this place. It 's a pub with a Hobbit theme, I saw the Lord of the Rings way back in the day and kinda sorta vaguely recall them (mostly lots of green trees and creepy guy who wanted his precious rings) so I 'm not one to vouch for its authenticity. We ate upstairs in what was a basically empty room on a Sunday evening with what was a de facto private waiter in a large room with a hobbit village scene painted on the wall. I don 't recall the hobbit pun named food but the old fashioned was interesting with an apple flavor which was unusual and enjoyable. I 'd recommend this but read the menu since you aren 't getting the classic drink. As for the food itself, skip the onion soup. I 'm a big fan of french onion soup and I 'd take the canned version over what they served here. Yes it had cheese on top and bread inside but it didn 't taste like onion soup. It almost tasted like chicken soup with some onions mixed it. Take Yelp 's advice and skip this. Having said that, the waiter STRONGLY recommended the Grilled Achiote Double Pork Chop and I was wondering if it would manage to live up to the hype. Bottom line, it really did, it was a large well grilled bone in pork shop with a large portion of mashed potatoes and succotash (Lima beans, bell pepper, onion) with some sweet glaze and a side of spicy citrus sauce. I would definitely get this again and they give you a large portion of everything so this isn 't a presentation and leave hungry DC place. Not sure how hard core Hobbit fans feel about this place but I enjoyed it and would come again, and skip the soup next time."
