"The location was excellent for my event: going to a concert at Cornish. The food could definitely be improved. We ordered: Lamb dumplings, Yu Choy with chilies and garlic, and Twice-cooked pork. The Lamb dumplings tasted good, but the filling was dry and course-textured. It could’ve benefited from additional fat and stirred with a chopstick to create a springy texture. The greens were undercooked (they should’ve been blanched first), the handful of chillies were not lightly browned and infused into the oil (in spite of all the chilies, the dish was not spicy), and the sliced garlic was undercooked and overwhelming. The garlic probably should have been whole, crushed cloves infused into the cooking oil. Also some ginger would’ve been nice. We also ordered Twice-cooked pork, which was much better, but a bit muddy flavored and insufficiently spicy. The folks in the kitchen need to go to a few Sichuan restaurants in the ID or Eastside to get a better handle on what Sichuan food should really taste like. The service was great, though."
