"What made this dining experience even better was the fact that the restaurant offered its full menu on a holiday. Many places tend to offer a limited selection and raise prices during holidays, but this restaurant maintained its usual variety and pricing. We opted for a late dinner at 3:00 PM to avoid the crowds, and the service was impeccable. We will definitely be returning in the future."

"I really want to like this restaurant and see it do well. However, there are some shortcomings with certain dishes (like the eggplant parmigiana) and the service. The wait staff seems nervous about making mistakes. During our previous visit, we were seated right by the door even though the restaurant was empty. Our meals that night (Carbonara and pasta bolognese) were delicious. When we returned with friends, we were seated at a better table. Unfortunately, our dinners were served at the same time as our salads. The waitstaff seemed surprised when we mentioned we wanted to start with the salad first. Although the food was decent, I wondered if it would have been better if the timing was correct. My husband enjoyed his veal parmigiana, but my friend didn't like his eggplant parmigiana. We might give it another chance since it's nearby, the interior is nice, the bread is amazing, and, as I mentioned, I want to see it succeed."

"The food drinks were great as always, but we had to ask four times for bread before getting a bread basket. We even asked two people, including our server. Then, the bread basket we got was nowhere near as full as usual, and the bread was so over baked that we couldn’t eat it. We told our server, and he said he’d get us a fresh bread basket, but we never got one. Service is usually better than this at Bar Frites, but our experience that night was very frustrating."

The experience is terrible: I made the reservation since today is my mother's birthday, and I added a note about us with a groupon I have the reservation message) The waitress called himself manager named Rene Earlier man without teeth not with mouth protection all the time during serving) He knew, as I mentioned, we went to Houston and bought a groupon after we read the excellent reviews about the food. When we finished eating, he took the bill without asking for it, we were the only table in the restaurant, so they were not busy). He did not accept Groupon as he said that Groupon was for brunch. They only have brunch on certain weekends, even if the description says “Every day”, and he read the description of the voucher and said that is a mistake. We had to pay without a voucher we were four adults and a child, and he added the top himself on the ticket and he brought another ticket with the top line clear so that we add even more money on the top he charged us without us to add the amount. Unfortunately, food is not only conscious at this bad level of service!"

"After seeing this place open some time ago I finally got a chance to go. What a wonderful treat. We were there for Oakland Restaurant Week. We had a great treat at the start with a bite size piece of watermelon soaked in some spices it was really delicious. We then moved on to a beef dish Bo La Lot it was Angus Beef rolled up and cooked with spices, Fermented Anchovy sauce wrapped in betel leaves. Just great. Next was a Garlic Noodle dish with barbecued shrimp. It was fantastic. We had a pretty good creme brulee but saw the other desert go by to another table and immediately regretted our decision. The desert we didn't order was a melange of ice cream, fruit, and chocolate sauce. It looked really good. I would recommend this place without hesitation. My only complaint was the music. There were times when for 10 minutes all you heard was a deep bass rumbling over and over again. It became monotonous and sort of annoying. I am not sure what it adds to the experience? Enjoy!"

"we made a reservation for 7:30 on Friday night. the restaurant is quite small and when we went to the house, it was extremely loud. we told the host, we had a reservation and he went on the back to clean a table for 2 (without looking at a computer or a list to confirm our name). there were two empty tables in the front, so we asked if we could sit there. they said these tables were for reservations. I told him I had a reservation and they still said we couldn't sit there. they then brought us to the back of the restaurant to our table, which literally lay opposite the bathroom and directly in front of the kitchen. you could smell piniensole and other cleaning supplies from the table. the table was so far behind that the whole vibe was different from the rest of the restaurant. we asked if we could sit in the front (one more time) because we didn't want to sit in front of the bathroom and they offered us a place at the bar. mesa azteca should really understand that when people take the time to make a reservation for a special occasion and beautiful evening dinner, they are not sitting in the worst sitting throughout the restaurant and if they have not space to accommodate all their parachutes with an acceptable experience, then do not offer a certain capacity. the table in which they wanted to put us should be stored for a walk in customers or for no one if they really want their patrons to return. after the third attempt to move our places, we went out of the restaurant. meza azteca lost customers who made reservations that appeared on the time, and nicely asked to sit to save all the other tables for reservations that did not even appear (they were not there at the time when we arrived). I will never return and I recommend that other diners specify the seat settings when booking."

"dessert and coffee was good and we had a good service until a rude lady came. I've met my friend I haven't seen for a long time, and we've lost time, but we've asked if it's okay that it wasn't busy and the server said we're totally in order. this rude dame came to our table and mumbled in Turkish “fallar fallandi” then she continued “it is not a starbucks” and accused my friend with a Turkish mentality on a bad wise that is unacceptable and very rude. we ruined our nights. I am shocked that this kind of racist and rude lady can still work there."

"zelt for restaurant week, but prices ended at 19 o'clock on Saturday. I have a free bewe and excellent service and excellent food. I have the T-Bone covered with mushrooms. Thank you! my wife got the Kobe-Rind-Ans-War, which is melted in the mouth. had a glass of red wine paired with my steak called troublemaker. it was delicious. thanks to all the server and I will be back. highly recommended."
