"We both had the wild mushroom and swiss. Asked for it rare/as rare as they would cook it, came out medium rare. Great sauce on it kept it from being a dry burger. Very messy but very good. One order of fries and one of sweet potato fries, both came out with regular fries. Eric, the manager, realized the order was wrong as soon as he put it on our table and went back to the kitchen to get sweet potato fries. They were okay, not great. Server was very attentive."

"I just had THE BEST EVENING OUT in a very long time. GREG the host was an absolute joy. Hilarious and engaging. Nia was our bartender and she was attentive, sweet, and her service was top notch!! This was my 1st time dining here, and they won me over....oh...and the food ....DELICIOUS!!!! 1 year later....update Another fabulous experience. Cici was the bartender and we loved her. Service was excellent and the lobster grilled cheese was AMAZING!"

"The Skylark Diner has a retro interior design that with several different sections to the diner. Once you go inside the restaurant, on the right is a bar area, but the left has a more group- and family-friendly seating area. Additionally, there is a long counter with stools that is reminiscent of classic dining cars. Once my group of 5 was seated, we were promptly seated and orders taken. The menu itself had an abundance of options. If you're looking for conventional diner meals, the menu has all the regular breakfast, sandwich and burger options that you might expect. In each of these categories there are twists that mix in other cuisine types. I got the Halal Lamb Burger which tasted incredible. The options on the menu are pretty flexible if you're looking for something a little bit different or outside your comfort zone."

"The menu looks delicious, however, the execution is lacking. Our table ordered the pancake board which was beautiful and delicious, it was a fun treat for the kids. Our server was very kind and attentive. The restaurant had a mothers day gift (a plastic tumbler cup with straw), which was a nice touch, although not my personal choice. Of our meals, our poached eggs were either fully hard, or barely cooked at all which was disappointing. My husband ordered Shrimp and Grits. There were about 4 overcooked shrimp...and no grits. It was served over potatoes...so either they gave us someone else's substitute meal or the kitchen wasn't on the same page about their meal offerings. Our server did bring out grits which were very good. One of our water cups tasted and smelled like last night's beer indicating the cup was dirty. And the bellinis were mostly champagne with a small bit of fruit puree in the bottom of the glass, with a maraschino cherry. The server was again, very kind and replaced the water cup promptly. Overall the food was just ok and we probably will not return, but our service was good."

"Not the first definitely won’t be the last time I visit The Union Kitchen. I’ve tried a wide variety of their menu items the taste is pretty good! The drinks are good strong (if you like that kinda thing I could’ve used a little more flavored syrup, but, they were good nonetheless! The servers are nice efficient.I got the million dollar deviled eggs for my appetizer (wouldn’t recommend, they had no flavor at all , the blueberi lemon drop w/salt, again, strong but when you say blueberry, I NEED blueberry ?. For my entree I got the S.O.S (shrimp on a shingle . Great flavor (Thai inspired , however, the 2 pieces of brioche bread atop the shrimp could’ve been left off.Overall experience 9.2/10Food 7.8/10"

"Shrimp appetizer was a disappointment. Pizza was soggy. Truffle fries were excellent. Service was great. Food was not. My husband and I enjoyed happy hour and brunch and I was excited to bring my daughter here for dinner. It was okay but lots of room for improvement."

"The true kosher deli is a dying breed. There are kosher style deli's out there like Katz. However the food is not kosher. You can taste the difference in kosher meat. The flavors are better the quality is better. If you like old school Ben's has a dish called beef in the pot. It literally is the kitchen sink. Short ribs, Matzo ball, kreplach, noodles, peas carrots in real chicken broth. Better not eat two meals before having this. The short rib meat literally falls of the bone. Very flavored. Try it with a little horse radish. There sandwich selections also great. This is a kosher gastronomy delight."

"The food and service were good. One thing to note is that there was a wait to get in, even with a reservation. When I arrived at the restaurant and gave my name/reservation I was added to the bottom of the list that was being used to seat people. The wait wasn't too long but they don't hold a table based on the reservation."

"this place is located in the Renaissance hotel, is clean and has many seating options. my man and I ordered drinks and the Burrata salad with laughs. the dinner was delicious! not too heavy. As far as the drinks are concerned, we started with the gurke collins, which was perfect for me when I drink a picky with. husband there is 7/10, I say 8.5/10 next was currently old-fashioned, which was super strong. he's got a 6/10 because I'm a **** when it comes to alcohol. drink that if you want to feel like a man. after berry bliss very girly drink and sparkling. pretty champagne? he's got an 8/10 and says it's what it is. Finally, the espresso martini, who says a 9/10 and is very smooth with good aromen. (Granted he is quite drunk by helping me write this review) we also got short rib darts, and they were great, but I wish there were more meat on them. overall a good experience."

"This Diner was a really great experience! We ate there in Christmas Eve and Had a nice Chat with the Employees. The Dinner was one of the best meals during our time in the US. We even got Cake on the House. We can absolutely recommend this Diner. The staff was really caring about our wishes, and were really helpful about the lactose intolerance of my daughter. The atmosphere of the Diner was really relaxing. If you're in Secaucus and want to have a nice meal go here and you won't be disappointed."

"Unfortunately, it looks like dantannas suffers the same fate as many restaurants nowadays. our waitress has grounded 2 out of 4 orders, never asked us about fillings, forget a drink order and dismissed overall. the food was good, but the atmosphere was a bit off when we were a business meeting on Thursday at 12 and there were 2 tables that were a bit gross for the time including the jumping out of their sitting and the torching. Perhaps this is the new normal for dantannas and it is now more of a chilis versus a more beautiful restaurant."

"The experience and food was just O.K., the French onion soup had a slight smoke taste to it, I don’t know if they finish it in their pizza oven or not, but it took away from the overall flavor. My ice tea was served with “something “ that could not be identified floating in it. I showed it to the waiter and he said it was from the lemon really? , I asked for a new glass of tea which also had that hint of smoke flavor. The beets in my salad looked “old” but tasted ok. Chicken was a little dry. Overall, just O.K. And I won’t return."
