"Hostess was unfriendly and needed training in how to greet and treat us. Temperature in the entire restaurant was very cold. We asked hostess to please have the air conditioning turned down. She hesitated, seeming uninterested. Customers to our right and left then supported our request. She said then, unenthusiastically, okay. A while later air conditioner continued to stay on. Finally, I asked a male waiter to ask the manager to change temp. He politely agreed and did so. However, after a while, still nothing happened. Eventually, manager came to our table, no smile and cooly said she had been busy in the kitchen when the young man told her. Apparently, the hostess had never said a word. Manager then went to change thermostat. Restaurant warmed for a little while, then soon very cold air again. We gave up as the food was good and we would soon be leaving. Suggestion: Olive Garden needs to do some serious training of it's staff in PR and temp needs to be better regulated. We used to go often, but for last 3-4 years have stayed away, mostly because of these very issues. One good note. Our waitress was very good, polite, skilled, attentive, obviously trained some other place. I live 1 1/2 miles from Olive Garden. It's a shame this place where once we and friends loved to dine has gone down so much. Oh, very few customer in the restaurant for obvious reasons, so large crowd was no excuse for the service. Husband and I halved our meal, as we often do, as we do not eat as much now that we are Seniors."

"My honest opinion. Food is ok. I was invited for an early dinner for a Graduation celebration. For many years I've avoided going to Olive Garden. Only because I don't feel the experience is all that great because you end up stuffing yourself with soup, salad and bread before your actual entree arrives. I ordered one of the smallest dish on the menu and it was the Lunch special called Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair pasta. My Mom ordered the lunch special Alfredo Fettuccine. My take on my own dish was the Shrimp Scampi on Angel Hair pasta. To describe it had shrimp, chopped tomatoes and chopped asparagus . Honestly I don't know why they would put this combination together? The tomatoes made the entire dish acidic and the asparagus was bitter due to the acidity of the tomatoes. It did not taste balance at all. On top of that, I felt the asparagus was hard. Not sure why they didn't peel at least the harder ends of the asparagus. I assume it's because the cooks were only trained to cook following steps and not really understanding that this combination is not really all that great. The saucy part of the dish was a bit salty to me. Maybe because the entire combination of the tomatoes and shrimp just made it overpowering with saltiness. I did not enjoy my meal at all. I guess I only enjoyed the soup that came with it which was the Minestrone soup. My Mom and her Alfredo Fettuccine....she told me it tasted dry. My mom Complained that she looks forward to eating Alfredo fettuccine at any restaurant for the creaminess of the sauce. My mom said it was too dry. I do recall seeing the dish, it didn't look like the typical gravy saucy texture that most Alfredo sauce lovers look forward to. We enjoyed the company. It was a Graduation celebration so that part was ok. As for food at the Olive Garden....I only remember why I don't return to eat at an Olive Garden anymore."

"Wow, such a nice meal! My husband and I were in Kokomo and decided to eat at Olive Garden. It was about 45 minutes until dinner. So the evening staff most likely just coming on board So, being in our 60s, sometimes we don't hear very well with a lot of background noise. With not a lot of a wait crew on yet, we were seated by a large party in the back, and of course, they wanted to have fun. My husband and I looked at each other and we decided to ask to be moved. (Hostess...if the customers are older, expect unhappy guests or for them to ask to be reseated if its too noisy). We asked to be reseated. Well, from there on, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! My husband and I could easily hear each other, and Brittany, our server, recommended the best appetizer when I asked her of a recommendation of two. We decided on Soup Salad (plus the appetizer), and 2 coffees. Brittany was awesome, offered us more salad and waited to bring the soup out later so it wouldn't get cold. Plates were removed timely, and Refills were offered generously. The tab was brought out and Brittany offered us a cup of coffee to go at that time! We were so thrilled to have Brittany as our server, and our dining experience was top-notch all the way. If you stop by, see if Brittany is available! And if Mr. Harding is still the General Manager, you should have an excellent experience at the Olive Garden."
