"I had dinner here for the first time and was very happy with everything from the atmosphere, food and service. We were greeted with a smile and everyone was really friendly. The food came out immediately, although the place was crowded. A very nice family sitting next to us at the table and talking to us and saying that they have been there regularly for 15 years! I can see why. I will definitely be back and recommend Shackeltons to everyone."

"There’s a reason Girl The Goat is one of the most popular restaurants in Chicago and I’m glad I finally got to try this famous spot. Reservations go quickly but I was able to get one for a week night for dinner.Dishes are served family style and come out as they’re ready so order a few items off the menu and enjoy. Our waitress recommended 4-5 dishes for two people so we picked some of the items we’ve been excited to try for a while.The chickpea fritters were unique and had an unexpectedly delicious flavor combining all the different textures and ingredients. The goat empanadas amazing and the pig face was very umami and bold almost like a pig belly.Our favorite dish of the night though was the pork shank for sure. All the different pieces of the dish really made it stand out.Service is on point here and everyone is friendly. Glad I finally visited!"

"Top notch seafood but the non fish dishes like veal or pork chops delicious. The food is very good with generous portions , the menu inventive. Great service, easy parking …a little noisier than we like but they tried to accommodate us."

"We have eaten there a number of times on slow nights which is probably why it was much better. The online did not indicate that there was going to be a prefix menu however I am not surprised. What did surprise the cost was $75 price for items like chicken and salmon. Not even a salad included. The staff was friendly and the owner did come around and ask if everything was fine but did not make eye contact so he really did not care. I know he has operated hotels before but needs to treat everyone like they are visiting his home since most of the clients in that area are repeat. My steak was burn on the outside and rare on the inside. Usually its very good there, chef must have been off that night."
