"I’m glad that this exists in St Pete! It’s a real gem among a lot of sub-par restaurants. However, having just moved here from Seattle we are spoiled with regards to Japanese food. As such, our bar was pretty high and the food here fell just short of five stars. Overall it was delicious and we will be back, but some of the flavors were lacking. The pork katsu, for example, was mostly just salty. The Karaage was good but the sauce seemed like off-the-shelf spicy mayo and they could have done something more creative. We really enjoyed the ramen but it’s not a pork broth so it felt a bit light relative to what we were craving. Not a bad thing, just different! The server was attentive and no-nonsense. Our table was about 6-10 inches on either side from other tables which made it hard to carry on a conversation."
