"Not what it used to be a year or year and a half ago. I rarely go out (changing that this month), but I was passing by and Really loved my prior experiences, so I was excited to order a favorite dish I always get there, sopes. This time they actually had horchata so I got that, too, and ordered fried ice cream to go. The sopes used to be piled high, super fancy on the plate with zigzag dressings on it and the flavor was to die for. This time, it was very, very lower class basic, not even hot food, that was as simple and lackluster as can be. Highlight was the pre-squeezed lime juice on it. Not at all what I remembered. I got the barbacoa. I was so hungry though I basically inhaled it and felt better I was full, so it's fine, but I didn't get the Wow! of the plate or the pizzazz of all the different flavors like I got before. The barbacoa part was good, like any other place. The horchata was pretty good. The fried ice cream... the ice cream part itself was freezer burnt, but the fried cornflake crunch outside was fresh. The whipped cream on it was good, opted for no chocolate sauce and asked about honey instead (not on the menu) and the delightful, warm Lesley was happy to accommodate. I don't know if the chef was out that day or what. I'll give it a good amount of time, watch the reviews, and try again later on."
