"What a gem in Colville! My husband is from Kettle Falls, so when we come to visit I'm always looking for new places to try. We put our baby and toddler to bed, left the monitor with the grandparents, and went out to dinner for the first time in over 6 months! We had planned to sit outside, but since it had been raining, they set a lovely table up for us inside. I still felt safe, as we were the only ones in the restaurant at 7:40 on a Wednesday. Our server Paul was fantastic, knowledgeable and attentive. I had a glass of Washington Chardonnay which rivaled my favorites from Napa, and husband had a lavender and mint drink fresh from the garden which he said was delicious. We started with truffle fries which were hot and crispy, then moved on to a Caesar salad. For mains, I had three cheese mac with added grilled prawns, and he had pesto pasta. Both were incredibly rich and delicious, and the prawns were cooked perfectly. Dessert was cheesecake with a chocolate crust. A wonderful ending to an awesome meal! We will certainly return on our next visit, and hope that you will try Goldfinch too!"
