"Google should bring zero stars. This restaurant deserves that. Food tastes extremely bad. Too much oil and the oil is not fresh. The prices are extremely high. Not worth for the food you get.The sad part is if you visit this restaurant, you’ll end up paying more than what you’d pay if you had the same food from other indian restaurants nearby. 15% service fee for literally zero service. Not recommended anytime for anyone."

"Cholanad is the best kept secret in Chapel Hill. The food is outstanding, service is wonderful, the ambiance is diverse. I have been here with a large group of friends and sat outside, on a first date in a quiet corner, at the bar to watch a game, and with my family of multiple generations. "As an Indian from India, I can say that this restaurant sets the standard. The food is impeccable and full of taste. It is not bland, it is not excessively seasoned – and portion sizes are simply perfect. The menu as a whole is extremely creatively full of diversity. A visit will not cover it, we have to come back for more! The service is also beautiful, so attentive, not rushed at all. The same applies to ambience, very beautiful! "Despite still being on Opentable as a currently open, available eat in restaurant, it was not! Upon arrival we were greeted by upturned chairs on all the tables, and an owner who greeted us protection free! MASKLESS. My wife and I told him we had made a reservation on the opentable app, to which he responded, “not open for dine in, take out only, big fines”. We told him he should make note on opentable of his current position, and we left to find an establishment that was open for a sit down restaurant experience. If anyone would like to know the restaurant that was open, and we were able to walk right into with no reservation, it was Fat Rosies in Naperville . Thanks Fat Rosies, ur restaurant is awesome"

"The food at this restaurant was of very low quality. If you're in search of delicious Indian cuisine, I would not recommend dining here. The dishes were bland and did not have the traditional spicy and aromatic flavors typically found in Indian food. Additionally, the portion sizes were quite small. The rasmalai tres leches cake was especially disappointing, as it was served in a cup and did not contain any rasmalai. It's unclear why it was named as such. However, the service was good."

The dishes lacked flavor and the signature spices and aromas of Indian cooking. The portion sizes were surprisingly small as well. The rasmalai tres leches cake was particularly disappointing - it was served in a cup and lacked any resemblance to rasmalai. It's unclear why it was named that. "With no other customers in the restaurant we waited minutes to be acknowledged at the door. The Sunday buffet was not completely set up until almost minutes into our meal. The food was flavorful but the temperature was lukewarm. The biggest disappointment was how flighty the bathroom and back hallway were and as if they had it been cleaned for days"

"great date night ambiente. we sat at the bar, because we had no reservations ( wait was long for a table without them) and ordered appetizers that went great! I am lactose intolerant and I was symptom-free with their vegan appetizers so that was great. this time we had these vegan appetizers: vegetable juices, Batata-Cam, Madras soup, vegetables, cured hummus with roti. her hummus is a part of the best hummus I had. it has a certain taste and thick that makes it really good (not sure what the taste is, extra cherry the flavor in the hummus make it really extra. monica loved the samosas, and we both loved to dive them in the madrass suppe. it was nice that they could bring us separate bowls for the suppe. that was our favorite combination. the chutneys were also interesting. I wonder if they're in their tamarind cutney? the pakoras were our least preferred. they tasted pale and were soft. monica didn't love the crunchy."

"the NE part of denver has not yet seen fully vegan or vegetarian restaurants and starved for places with vegan or vegetarian options. coriander is about everything you can find, but for the happiness it is a clean and attractive space with delicious Indian foods that includes several vegan options. To date, I had only the chana masala (a pea bowl with a rich spicy tomato sauce) with rice and a garlic calantro frog (this very large flatbread was perfectly chewing and slightly browned). her simple roti is also vegan like several other sweet and lentil dishes. I look forward to going back! it is suitable for a date night or just a quick lunch break."

"one of the better restaurants in the U-Viertel. we were a party of 5 and came at ~4:30 for an early dinner. we sat immediately and were asked to scan the QR code for the menu and it is where they order their items. but they can also ask for a physical menu that I chose. it feels more human. overall the items were rich in taste and in portions were good. all the articles we got were medium-size, which was tailored to the American palette. I'm terrible with spicy foods, but I found it need more. baba ghannoj roast, smooth, and packed with aubergine and sesame taste. it comes with 1 large pita brot, which is hardly enough for the whole soße. So I would recommend asking for another pita or get some naan baigan bhartha my new favorite way to enjoy auberginen. the aubergine is soft enough to melt in the mouth, but also has the correct amount of strength to have a satisfactory bite. when they come here, it's a must to get articles. tons of complementary seasonings, perfectly cooked vegetables, and only enough sauce to suck with rice or naan. tandoori chicken large pieces of chicken upper leg and lighter. very delicate and juicy pieces of meat and it comes with rice and sweet. delicious items and couples beautiful with the raita desserts we have kheer and gulab jamun. both are ripe in taste and beautifully seasoned. 3 pieces gulab jamun in 1 order. kheer was in a small bowl, but very rich. I'd say both are enough for two."

Even the owner served us our food and wished blessings upon us for our upcoming marriage and gave us great advice as a man who has been married for 40 years. "really beautiful ambiente certainly better than most Indian restaurants. very friendly and helpful service staff. mango Lassi was not too bad. Chicken kebab was hard and cordy really bad: lamb biryani was fat and the lamb was hard. naan might not feel fresh, maybe they just heated and served us some prefabricated naan pretty bad. Chicken tikka masala was kind of ok. overall really bad experience didn't happen again safely."

"I made this reservation to celebrate my daughter’s birthday, we are British and wanted to reminisce the flavors of India. We have eaten Indian meals more times than I can remember and the portion control was so much more worth the price. You charge $24 for a bowl full of sauce with 5 small pieces of lamb served with a bowl of rice only. I have not had lamb for over 10 years and this was a disappointment. Our party was charged a 20% gratuity this was automatic even though we were paying separately, some people were parties of 2 or 3 but still the gratuity was applied. This visit was a big letdown and I will not revisit or recommend this restaurant."
