A popular Indian dessert, these deep-fried dough balls are soaked in a fragrant sugar syrup flavored with cardamom and rose water.

"What kind of Indian restaurant doesn't include RICE with their meals? I ordered delivery, and when it got here there wasn't any rice with it... so I called and they said you have to order it separately. Wouldn't have guessed that, as every other Indianrestaurant I've been to includes rice. Also, huge slices of jalapenos and peas in my chicken curry? No."

"The food at this restaurant is consistently delicious. The chef is skilled and I've never had a disappointing meal here. Unfortunately, the lack of ambiance can be attributed to the small number of diners. During my last visit, no one checked on us after serving the main dishes, which is a service issue that should be addressed, especially given the low number of customers."

"This was my first experience with true Indian cuisine and it was a very good one! I’m a huge fan now and will not shy away in the future. We were a group of 16 and they handled our party with ease, bringing our food on time, constantly checking on us and were very attentive. Others in the party who had more experience with Indian food were very impressed and will definitely visit this restaurant again. I highly recommend!"

"My friend and I were on the lookout for a new restaurant and stumbled upon this hidden gem! Chicago Curry House is a spot that everyone should visit and try some food. Everyone is welcome here! You absolutely must try the chicken pakora—it was delicious. We also ordered the lamb curry, chicken makhani (butter chicken), goat biryani, and garlic naan. Yes, we ordered quite a bit, but it was totally worth it! The wonderful gentleman who owns the place even let me sample a mango lassi, which was also fantastic. I will definitely be returning! Thank you so much for everything, and see you next time!"

"I loved everything about this experience: customer support, food, music, ambience and attention to detail. I can't believe I'm just finding the jewel of Himalaya. Everything was really tasteful and fresh. We had plenty of portions with enough to go home... because hey, why not. On the photo is the seafood pizza... yum. There are also options for vegetarians and vegans. To finish it, it was my daughter's birthday and she felt really celebrated. Thanks and"

"the service was terrible yesterday. the restaurant was full and there were several food deliveries or orders. it seemed as if the waiting staff and the kitchen could not treat all orders. we had a reservation for 18 o'clock and the hostess didn't seem to care how she seems to do it as if she liked us doing one by joining two 2-tops. we ordered to sit within 5 minutes and with our order, asked for 4 glasses water in addition to other drinks. our other drinks came out, but no water. we had to ask another two times before we received. we immediately got our appetizers and then it took an hour to receive our dinner entrees. not even the server came by to give us an update or to apologize for it for so long. they could only cook for a table or a job at a time. when we finally got our food with 2 orders of rice, the rice was boiled and crispy. how do you bleed? if they are in the mood for Indian food, I recommend finding another facility in the pasadena area where they value customer service and high quality food."

"An excellent mix of both Himalayan and Indian cuisine, with an interior decor that reflects well on both cultures with images of mountains and decorated with Tibetan prayer scarves of blue, white, red, yellow and green. There was even a special dining spot available on a raised platform with a low table and cushions for those wanting a more authentic dining experience. Enjoyed a fare of paneer tikka masala over rice, my companion appreciating the tofu saag, with some simple soup that would keep you warm on a cold night in the Himalayas. Soft, but crispy garlic naan bread made good for mopping up the sauces, and a wonderful dining experience. Our waiter R provided excellent service with good attention and made sure our visitation was very satisfying. There are even some gifts and curios available for purchase, to make the cultural atmosphere something to take home and enjoy, as well. Thank you for a most pleasant and fulfilling experience. Peace and prosperity to all the staff members, and may they have all customers with perfect satisfaction, onwards and upwards."

"For $15 a head, my husband and I enjoyed the lunch buffet. Wonderful salads and raita along with hot veg and non-veg entrees. Friendly service with hot buttered naan. Spicy chai provided with buffet so we drank up. Exquisite kheer (sort of like rice pudding) for dessert. We had no idea it was here and we found it when we got turned around looking for a different restaurant. One of the best wrong turns we ever took!"

"my favorite restaurant in providence. every single element I've ever tried was beautiful. Whenever I visit the city, this is a number one priority! not gluten? no problem. they have kichererbsenbrot, pakora and papadum to name some. I am in love with her idli sambaar, but can rarely order this appetizer and still have space for her from this world sweet curry dishes. the location is perfect when they visit the opposite. a kitchen from a JWU alum is always another good reason to see what they also cook in my book. my memories of the prediction would not be the same without this place. Come on!"

"I ordered a vegan meal from here and got served hug I phoned them up and they were Adamant it was soy protein and asked me to send them a picture where they confirmed that it was, I have read a few other reviews that also mentioned crosscontamination on google and ghubrub. it's a shame because the vegan options I had here before are really good, but the experience was enough for me not to eat there personally."

"hidden over this place when we went to check English book, they had a completely separate vegan menu. that had a lot to choose in starters, curries, naan brot and of course dosas. they also had a great vegan lunch offer where they had a tablet with 3 curries, rice, naan brot and some cut veg for $7! and they also did every veggie dosas for $8. we have lunch and shared a dosa and they were massive. would recommend this place. local business, good eating, amazing price can not ask for more!"

"Jyoti is consistently excellent. My husband and I are frequent customers and are never disappointed. We have also brought many out of town friends and they always rave about the food.In fact one self described foodie said that this was the best lamb bhuna he has ever eaten. Jyoti has a comfortable neighborhood vibe and we always feel like a member of the family. In particular Moonir stands out as an exceptional server. Run don’t walk to Jyoti! Marty and Pete"

"If you enjoy Indian cuisine, this restaurant in Arlington is the best choice. Their half price wine Monday deal makes it a great option for those who like to enjoy wine with their meal. The service was excellent and the menu offers a wide selection of dishes. I will definitely return to this restaurant in the future. Thank you! Zaiya"

"We were back to Swadist but this time, we dined in. The restaurant is very nice and has planty of seats. We ordered Pepper Lamb for appetizer. The meat was very tender and the sauce was amazing. We then had Butter Chicken Desi Style and Goat Laas Maal for entrees which we paired with Garlic Naan. The Naans were super crispy and garlicky. They went well with every dishes. The chicken and goat were both very tender. They were cooked perfectly. We loved their sauces a lot, which we had to order another order of Naan to dip in the sauce. The Laas Maal is a must-have. It was spicy and flavorful. We have no negative feeling about the restaurant at all. However, we think the portions was getting smaller compared to when we ordered to take out.The host was very friendly and attentive. She checked up on us regularly and helped us to choose our foods. The ambience was warm and cozy."
