"I just visited Fire Spice on Fort Meade Rd in Laurel. I experienced what felt like racial discrimination. I was dining with a friend. We both ordered Curry Chicken. When I tasted it, it tasted like chicken Masala, which I don 't care for; it 's too spicy. I 've been a regular customer for over 10 years.I asked the cashier, she stated that they 've renovated, but insisted that management had not changed.I told her that the food was too spicy, she offered to prepare something else for me; I politely declined and asked her to remove my $16.00 dish from.the bill. I told her that she could remove my food from our table, as I have integrity, and wanted to insure her that I was NOT going to eat my meal, she left my food on the table and walked away.At the end of my friend 's meal, we asked for the check, I stood at the register, she asked for $46.99.I responded, that can 't be right, we only consumed one (1) plate of food.I looked at our bill, she was insisting that I pay for food that I DID NOT consume. She sarcastically asked, you ordered it didn 't you? I stared at her for a minute because her tone was condescending.I replied, I told you that I couldn 't eat it I 'm not paying for a meal that I didn 't eat.I was trying to understand how a successful restaurant, can now, in this particular moment, become so desperate over $16.00.She further felt the need to embarrass and humiliate me by calling a Manager on the phone and coming to MY table, phone in hand and handle it inthis manner, in FRONT of customers. Completely unpleasant, unprofessional and crass. I felt both humiliated and embarrassed over$16.00!!!! Not $100+ but $16.00.Bottom line, she treated me as if I could NOT afford $16.00She embarrassed and humiliated me in front of all of her customers.Absolutely uncalled for.Well, they 've lost a dedicated customer; all because she wanted to abuse her power and become condescending."

"Why are people upset about being asked to put on a mask? I too was a little suspect about trying this place bout the views were too amazing to pass up and I’m glad we didn’t. Service was a little suspect at first, but it was my fault. I walked in with a soda I had from my road trip. They “guy” up front just said I couldn’t bring it in. Wasn’t the friendliest, but times are strange. He gave us the option to sit in or out and of course we went outside. There is a tiki bar and benches outside. Reminded me of a few spots on the Colorado river so felt right at home. Crowd seemed like mostly locals but seemed nice enough. As others have said, food is served in take out containers, but again, sigh of the times maybe or just easier to take food from kitchen to tiki bar? Either way, I didn’t mind it. Food was pretty awesome too. Fresh unicorn fish, clam chowder, Mac n cheese were the stand outs for sure. Some of the best chowder I had with plenty of clams! Side salad, potato salad and home made chips were very good too, just not stand out good. The tuna melt may be the only thing to pass on. Fine if you like onions, but GF does not so she ate my fish and I had the tuna melt. It was ok, just had better. Finally the service outside was amazing. Very friendly and checked on us plenty even though we encountered a quick downpour which caused them to clean and dry all the tables again. They also had a bday party which made things even busier. All in all, very memorable and fun. Plan to return and get some drinks which seemed like a honest pour, if you know what I mean and enjoy the views which were a highlight as well."
