"Made reservation for 7:45pm. Arrived at 7:40pm. Was greeted by hostess who said she saw our reservation and that we would be seated Next . 20 mins later, 7 parties had been seated before us and we were still waiting. I decided to leave at that point and asked the hostess to cancel my reservation. My issue is why make a reservation if the restaurant is not going to honor it. I 've used Open Table reservation multiple times before and the restaurant was always able to seat me on time or as close to it as possible. Additionally, if the hostess knew I wasn 't going to be seated next , then she shouldn 't have communicated that with me."

"The service is always sketchy. Even when I've gone in for an order, I have to check it. They ALWAYS forget the drinks, the last time before this I called to remind them, and they still forgot it. I called to complain, and their excuse was, GrubHub will just take it off the order. They always seem to have an excuse. I'd use GrubHub more often, but this order, and the one from a few months back were bad. And if you call them, they ALWAYS blame the drivers. I know several drivers for GrubHub, door dash, and Uber, and they all catch the blame for something not being right. It's not fair to the drivers. As far as the restaurant goes, it's OK, nothing spectacular."

"I've lived about two blocks away from Goodies for a couple years and apologize to myself and them that I've never tried it before today. I went for the first time and was blown away! The employees I talked to were AMAZING. They made doubly sure my order was right, gave me their recommendations, and were so welcoming, courteous, and nice. On top of that, the restaurant interior looked great, I loved the music, and it smelled delicious. I told my wife that even if the food was bad, I would consider coming back. Of course the food was NOT bad--it was delicious! I got a pork sandwich and a brisket sandwich with their sauce, a total of four sides, and two pieces of bread--all for a surprisingly reasonable price. All of it was delicious, especially the brisket, okra, and collard greens. If you're in Mt. Healthy and haven't tried Goodies, don't wait like I did--check it out! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it and intend to be back SOON!"

"Classic valentine day bait and switch. Website and social media didn’t say anything about a limited valentine menu. Charged extra for smaller portion of steak. "I am always impressed by the exceptional quality of this restaurant. Despite having an extensive menu, the dishes always come out perfectly. The eggs are cooked to perfection and the toast is perfectly toasted. All of the classic diner dishes are better here than at other diners. One standout dish is the Greenwood Wrap without sausage. Lunch is delicious and dinner is filling and satisfying. They are open all hours of the day. I have mostly dined in or ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the quality of delivery, but I can see that the staff work hard to ensure each order is well-prepared."
