"1. Location is everything. This place could thrive much better if it had accessible, free parking, wasn’t situated next to a sketchy liquor store that has police presence, and wasn’t in a rough neighborhood. The bulletproof plastic at the front doesn't help its image either.
2. As for the food, I ordered a cheeseburger, fries, and a one-pound ribs sandwich. I don't understand why the burger wasn’t fresh and grilled. Did you seriously just microwave the burger and ribs while checking if I noticed? That’s a bit audacious.
3. The staff in the back seemed more interested in gossiping than working. If they want to chat, they should at least look busy.
4. There was a family of three behind me who waited around 10 minutes without anyone attending to them until after I finished my payment.
5. The restaurant could really use a thorough cleaning, and proper COVID-19 precautions should be in place, especially since the pandemic is still active as of May 2022.
6. Instead of allocating resources for Caribbean vacations in 2022, it would be more beneficial to invest that effort into improving your restaurant so it can become a well-known staple, rather than serving food that I wouldn’t want in my home again.
Overall, I'm disappointed, especially as a customer supporting a Black-owned business. Please take pride in your establishment and stop cutting corners. This first impression was pretty poor. Additionally, consider minimizing plastic usage by opting for paper or compostable packaging—Mother Earth deserves our care!
On the bright side, the wings I saw were quite large, and the prices seemed reasonable. However, I couldn't help but wonder why the ketchup had an apple scent!"
