"*Buyer Beware* the menus have outdated pricing. No one will tell you until you confront them about the check. This place is old school. Beat up walls, wallpaper coming apart in the doorways. But as far as we could see it 's pretty clean. Yes, it 's a good pour of wine, but the menu says $6 for a glass and then we were charged $9 per glass for an $8 bottle of wine!! My husband 's Blue Moon was supposed to be $5 charged $7. Server literally shrugged and said that the menus were old and they had new pricing. They 're laminated paper reprint them. The calamari was not worth $17. It was super chewy. The sauce was marinara with a tablespoon of red pepper flakes dumped in. Nothing special. The pizza is good, but too thin to hold all the toppings. My husband 's pasta was prepared very al dente and was at least $2 more than what was listed on the menu. Service was very awkward. She didn 't clear all the plates. She only took my empty glasses, not my husbands. Every time she approached the table she asked if everything is ok? and then fled quickly from the table. We didn 't complain about anything until I noticed the large discrepancy with the bill. I didn 't argue, I just said they should update their menus and we paid the bill. I realize that prices have gone up, but that should be shown to your customers before they order. It 's not a pleasant surprise at the end of the meal. We will not be returning."

"I'm officially obsessed. After the attempt of COUNTLESS Pizzeria joints in the area we felt our happiness, but at 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (they are at 8) we called in an order for a Sicilian and round; considering that it was so close to the closing time, we were completely ready to be abandoned as we have been for many months. I couldn't have been wrong, and now I can't be happier and grateful that we stumbled over this place. The staff are so nice and personal; even under the chaos of a Friday evening full house, a gentleman who made pizza on the back even went to check me if he thought I had not yet helped (i had), the pizza was fantastic both times, tonight I ordered some meatballs for the children. BEST MEATBALLS IVE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Hands down, this place is the diamond in the rough, super close home, but I would travel to the city no problem. After two knocking experiences, we will definitely try more from the menu next week. Kiss, mwah."

"What a wonderful find! Although I’m a local somehow I’ve never eaten here. The calimari was golden fried to perfection, and they make a special version of their homemade marinara sauce just for the dish which was definitely an added bonus. Both of us opted for pizza which was not a mistake. Their pizza is fantastic! The crust was light, flaky crisp and I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it was the best pizza crust I can remember having outside of Italy. You will not go wrong ordering a pizza. For dessert we had gelato. I had 2 scoops, 1 pistachio the other Caribbean coconut. They creaminess of the coconut slightly smoothed out the strength of the pistachio and then complimented it further when it met in that nice, fine, pistachio finish. It was the PERFECT combination. Venice cucina is a wonderful restaurant. I will be back!"

"Being from Brooklyn finding a good Italian restaurant has been a challenge, and then there's Rome. I drive 15 minutes to and from Rome for great pizza and meals. I bought a pizza delivery bag from Amazon to keep it warm when I decide to get takeout. Independent restaurants taste better and are healthier than the chain pizza shops and all the processed ingredients. And the service is very personalized and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure everything is right and will make it right if it isn't. I've tried a lot of places in the High Point area and keep coming back here. I'm so glad I found it..."

"GRIND ON IT!!!! One of the best grinders around. Wow on quality and flavor. The club sub is one of my favorite. We shared the whole Cavonis Club Grinder. Yes we shared only one. "The old owner seems to be gone....now we have a Spanish/English speaking owner and I think his family.... very friendly and polite. The pizza is very similar to what was available before... much like a Queens, NY slice. Very good pizza and no gourmet prices. I understand why they're closing at 5:00. They go after the midday of workers and from the metal work on the door and window. ... looks like a money-type business could have some problems, after dark....but this is my opinion.... I didn't ask the guy."
