"So, funny thing... I Yelped pizza joints near the Marriott Marquis for delivery, and this place looked like the ticket. After ordering, receiving my order and taking the obligatory pic of my food, another picture popped up. Wouldn 't you know it? It was my own pic from seven years prior! Though I was remiss in not reviewing this joint in a timely manner the first time around, I 'm making good with a reassertion that Gotham Pizza is outstanding for folks who truly appreciate a NY-style pie. Gotham Pizza was my first NY-style pie in Houston back in 2015. It was delicious. After realizing that there were other joints (much) closer to my home near the bay, I never really thought of them again, Enter October 2022 and a staycation at the Marriott Marquis. After an 80-minute massage and some Champagne and microbrewed beer, there was no way I was leaving my room. I searched pizza on Yelp and Gotham fit the bill. Who knew that I was returning to my first NY-style pie in Houston? Certainly not me! Bottom line: Gotham brings to the table a nicely charred crust with quality sauce and toppings. In my experience, eating in and receiving delivery is equally clutch. I 'm not sure about the $15 slice as I 've seen in another review, though the menu does offer a giant slice for a few dollars less. My pie was $12-15, and I took a couple slices home to Seabrook and rewarmed the next day. Thumbs up to this joint. Really good NY-style pizza!"
